With West Ham on the brink of signing both Ward-Prowse and Alvarez in midfield, I wonder if getting both of those deals over the line will end their interest in McTominay?

Apparently City have put in a 70 mill bid for Paqueta so maybe not.

I'd be amazed if West Ham let him leave as well this summer. He's got 4 years on his contract, and West Ham look light in attack as it is. Replacing Paqueta with McTominay would make little sense from that perspective but midfield options of McTominay, Soucek, Alvarez & JWP would be a pretty robust and battle-hardened midfield (if not particularly inspiring creatively).

Great news, hopefully he can resurrect his career at West Ham. Not the worst defender but not good enough for United, maybe not being the most expensive defender in the world will be a weight off his slabhead too?
Lets bring in a young replacement who's willing to be an understudy to Varane but with the potential to take over from him in a year or 2.

So, I reckon...
Non-homegrown (13):
Lindelof
Martinez
Bruno
Martial
Malacia
Eriksen
Casemiro
Varane
Dalot
Antony
Onana
Hojlund
Pellistri
Homegrown (9):
Mount
Rashers
Heaton
Shaw
Sancho
Evans
AWB
McT
Kovar
Discounting those probably gone:
Henderson
Maguire
Fred
DvB
Bailly
Brandon
Wouldn't yet need to be registered:
Diallo
Hannibal
Fernandez
Mengi
Garnacho
Space for three more who can be homegrown or otherwise
In short, getting rid of loads of overseas players has helped and is really helping us.
Ward Prowse in that West Ham team is quite a scary prospect tbh. Zouma, Maguire, Soucek, Antonio etc. will get some joy from him.
By my reckoning that means three players who I'd expect to be involved with the first team squad regularly (Garnacho, Mainoo and Hojlund) won't have to be in the 25 which maybe means the homegrown issue isn't that tight this year. It could be in coming years though so that may well have to be addressed in upcoming transfer windows.
May explain the AWB extension rumours a bit too.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
isn't Antonio looking to bale out?
Harry wasn't exactly a 5hit defender, he just didn't suit EtH style of play, very much like DDG.
Berba
The rules go:
- You can register a *maximum* of 25 players
- A *maximum* of 17 of them can be non-homegrown
Which means you could register 17 non-homegrown players and one solitary homegrown player if you wanted.
Or you could register 12 non-homegrown players and 13 homegrown players.
Players born before 1 Jan 2023 won't need to be registered this season (includes Hannibal, Diallo, Fernandez, Mengi, Nacho, Mainoo, Shoretire, Forson,,,)

Completely lost track mate
I’ll have a look.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cheers.
A quick look (and this is based on who I think may leave/stay) suggests we have:
Heaton
Shaw
Evans
AWB
Mount
Rashford
Sancho
The likes of Henderson, McT, Greenwood etc could be added dependant on what happens with them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So, I reckon...

May explain the AWB extension rumours a bit too.

isn't Antonio looking to bale out?

Harry wasn't exactly a 5hit defender, he just didn't suit EtH style of play, very much like DDG.
