Garnacho

He'll get plenty of playing time, that's for sure.

I can certainly see him giving ETH a headache, this season.

I really don’t rate Antony so if he continues to unimpress then I can see Garnacho making the spot his own

Probably the bench whilst inexplicably the highly ineffective invisible sancho or Antony are picked ahead of him.

I think Garnacho on the LW is a better option than Rashy. He has more to his game imo.

With a new striker the runs on the wing and crosses (which we haven't really seen from our team for a while) will be vital. Whilst also helping out Shaw. I think Garnacho is the better option.

Rashy has had a hell of a season with us playing on the break but I think we will see a change in our style and for me Rashy maybe will play more as a striker.

With ETH it will be the player that best fits in with how we aim to play.

Just to extend it a little I think with the new striker we will see a better performance from likes of Antony and Bruno et al. Simply as they will have a focal point so maybe not looking to do it all themselves.

Very excited for this season. Think we will need patience to see the new players settle but overall I am expecting a difference in play from some who have arguably under performed.

Genuinely no idea? I have HIGH hopes for the lad and don't for a second doubt he has the skill set required to be a success but with any and all youngers you are never sure how they pan out longer term?

He had some great performances from the bench and hopefully this season can be consistent starting but the only questions for me would be what position would that be and ETH allowing him a bit of a run of games

Time will tell but fingers crossed

No rush, the kid's only 19. He'll get plenty of opportunities and hopefully will continue to improve. He offers something different to Rashford which is handy for us.

If he's selected less than the, very ordinary, rashford, then that'll be less than he should be.

In modern footballer having good 'finishers' is as important as having good 'starters'.

Let's hope Garnacho and Co gives Erik real headaches over selection this season.

He’ll be an impact player like last season, but with more minutes. Needs to play better when starting games, which would give us more options to rotate.

Coming on against tired defences - he's absolutely brilliant. Starting lineup is not such a big deal now. It's a squad game.

This, in a nutshell.

He’s got at least the first month as first choice LW imo as Rashford will be up front until either Hoijlund or Martial are fit.

Up to him to make himself hard to drop.

Can you imagine if Greenwood stuff would have never happened. We'd have a two potentially world class wide players under age of 21 plus Rashford plus £86m saved on Antony.

Oh what a mess you made Mason.

I say he's the best left sided player on the team!

But he needs to be an impact sub for us. In fact he may best serve us as an impact sub. 65 min sub who can torture fullbacks trying to help their attack. He's just unbearable by defenders at the end of the match.

Also with the new extra time rules we have, i60 min sub means almost 45 mins of actual playing time. Imagine him catch a defence at the 97 min trying to get a goal. I'm a bit wet.

I think he will start the season over Sancho (at least I hope so), with Rashford up front.

Apparently Hoijlund is out for a few weeks anyway?

Apparently Hojlund is just short of match fitness and is fine. Rumours are he will be on the bench Monday too so this injury can't have been serious.

Isn’t Hojlund training on his own though? No idea about the severity of the injury but if he’s not training with the first team then I can’t see him being in the match day squad yet.

Think this comes from ETH saying Hojlund would be in the squad once fit, no matter how little training with the squad he has had.

He’s only 19 so no need for him to be starting week in week out.

Last season we often didn’t see the best of him when starting games and he was better off the bench as an impact sub.

He’ll get opportunities from the start of some games and I’m sure if he’s outperforming the others he will stay in the team.

Right footed players rarely work at RW these days. When Garnacho played last season ETH sometimes move Rashford to RW to accommodate him so I doubt we’ll Garnacho at RW any time soon.

Seems bizarre we would offer our LW a HUGE contract when we had such a top young talent, challenging for the LW spot.
