We've solved one of our problems with creating chances. Now we just need to put them away.
Man Utd - Wolves
Possession 51% - 49%
Shots 15 - 23
On target 3 - 6
But . . .
Goals 1 - 0
Stone-wall penalties 0 - 1
Fabulous performance, certainly didn’t deserve to lose. Definitely should have had a penalty at the end. Cunha quite brilliant, but it was a really good team performance. Pleased for Gary O’Neil, that performance will have completely got both the fans and supporters behind him
Penalty was that blatant that it didn't even occur to me that the ref wouldn't be sent to look at it.
We're going to get an apology from PGMOL in week one. Can add it to our collection from last season.
Played with genuine commitment to each other haven't seen that team spirit since the days of nuno

Just watched GON's post match interview. I like him. Spoke very well and seem knowledgeable.
Don't think anyone's performance tonight is being overlooked, 7 and 8 out of 10s all round I reckon, except maybe Sa who gave me the fears too many times
Probably give Sarabia a 6 out of 10. He was the only one in the starting line up that could have their place questioned for the Brighton game.

Just said similar to my better half, I know it's only one game but I think we'll do ok with him and he'll do ok by us

Liked what he said about how they planned to used the four of Lemina, Gomes, Nunes and Cunha to create an overload through the middle. It was a big part of why we caused so many problems with those runs through the middle.
Also about how he has been working at getting players arriving in the box in the right numbers at the right times to create more chances. The guy knows what he's doing. It was good to hear.
Yeah certainly
The worry is well not a worry
We've seen it for years having no-one in the box he comes in and within four days picks up on it
What were our previous coaches doing
Wolves boss Gary O'Neil speaking to Sky Sports: "I thought live it was a penalty. It looked like the keeper nearly took our forward's head off. I think it is a foul, you go for the ball and clatter the player that hard, it is a penalty.
"I thought he was going over to the screen at first but unfortunately he booked me and not Onana.
"I understand the rules [of sticking with the on field decisions as much as possible], but I don't fully accept it.
"I have spoken to the officials about it already. It is a dfifcult decison for the on-field official, we can't just leave it. If we are all saying it then he need to have a look.
"In the end we can't just focus on that decision. To come to Old Trafford and have the most shots of any side since 2005 and dominate after just four days of work is exceptional. The lads deserved more tonight."
"To come to Old Trafford and have the most shots of any side since 2005" . . . says so much.
Don't want to be too complacent but a few early performances like that should instil confidence all round.
I don’t think we saw the best of Cunha, Nunes and Sarabia last season but now they’ve settled in I think they’ll show they’re very good players. Plus Neto looks back to being the player he was before his injury. And Fabio and Sasa give us extra bods up front, better options than Raul and Costa. Thought Hwang did well tonight also. So we have a lot more going for us in the opposition half.
Would love to see Fabio score at Molineux on Saturday
PGMOL have already given Wolves an apology for an incorrect decision in not awarding us a penalty for Onnana’s foul on Sasa
Absolute joke isn't it. Wonder how many apologies we'll get this season. If that's Sa on Rashford, the on field ref gives it almost definitely and if not the VAR overturns.
It's bias, pure and simple, unconscious or not It's biased and incompetent refereeing. But as I said earlier we should've been two up by then anyway.
"plain", no maybe it could be pain.
Hard to be too disappointed with that. The pen decision though, at what point does something get done about the clear and obvious fixing/bias in the game ffs.
Only watched some extended highlights but Cunha looked very impressive

ROBBED, pain and simple.

Maybe keep the salt away from the tequila!
"However, what took place deep into stoppage time at the end of the match was concerning. United's newly installed keeper Andre Onana's challenge on Sasa Kalajdzic was reckless and a clear penalty. How referee Simon Hooper did not to award the visitors a spot-kick will once again raise the question that referees 'bottle it' and certain teams do not get a fair shake when they go to certain clubs. This accusation is a stain on the game and must be addressed"
Now, let that sink in.
Problem is, nothing will change. The big boys control the games, the officials and the money.
Modern sport I’m afraid.
