Agree with most apart from Gnonto v Cardiff. He moaned and groaned his way through that game and looked pretty uninterested at times.

He had one good attempt first half but apart from that I don’t remember him doing that much.

He’s definitely being badly advised and I hope the owners hold out for what they think he’s worth. If we get offered anything like £25m I think he will be sold.

Let’s play a Brighton here and see what comes of it. We can afford to hold our nerve I think.

Brighton are showing how to handle players and transfers, I hope we follow there example.

He's a petulant liability at times. I hope the club hold firm and only sell him on their terms, not his. If he continues his current crusade against the club he should be shoved in with the U21s and become a talisman for them!

Some strange things about willy, and we’ve never got the reasons for

1 why leave Inter ?

2 Why go to Swizerland ?

3 why did he get capped for Italy ?

4 why did a full Italian international go for just £4.5m ?

It just doesnt add up.

He did nothing to warrant a cap, miles from it.

Was it to stop him being able to play for Ivory coast 🤷🏻‍♂️

Or because he was Black

I've not seen a lot of good things from Gnonto since he got injured playing for Italy last season.
For whatever reason he's just not been the player he was before that.
I'd be comfortable with him being sold, but we need to hold out for a good price for once.

Problem is, he's probably the best CF option we have in a position that we're desperately short in, and now he refuses to play. Club need a decent CF signed to negate the void left by Willy. We have enough attackers to get by without him, but the gap he leaves up top is concerning.

Wanting to leave is understandable. Refusing to play is unacceptable and I hope the club fight back hard on this. Suspend his wages for a start.

Putting to one side Gnonto's poor attitude and agents advice, I rhink this is indicative of the affect of the Loan clauses.

A lot of the bad performing 20/23 incoming players are now playing in top European leagues and are lower league free (for now anyway).

You get the likes of those still here getting bitter about that - Gnonto case in point , maybe Sini?

Yes the implications of these contracts just keep on comiing - dreadful.

....and maybe Cry?

Unless Gnonto publically apologises for refusing to play for Leeds and trying to orchestrate a move away to Everton via his agent then there's no way back for him... he's burnt his bridges.
