Spoiler alert - he’s gonna keel over and have a medical episode before the election as he looks really crook these days.
I had a trump watch once. Said it was 15:15, the time was actually 6 am. It was one of the smart watch variants, the map navigation was rubbish, tried to get to the four seasons restaurant, but it took me to a porrn shop instead. The face went orange over time and kept telling me to attack Mexicans. The banking app didn’t work, told me I had £2.3bn in my account, it was actually £10.50.
Last purchase I ever buy from N2.

I listened to a prosecutor talking about all the indictments, and while the January 6th one in many ways sounds the most serious, apparently the two Trump should be sweating about most of all are:
- Florida / classified documents: the evidence in the deposition looks very solid.
- Georgia electoral interference case: again, they have compelling evidence, in addition to which Trump would be unable to pardon himself should he be elected, because unlike the Federal cases, this is going through the Georgia courts.
And the Georgia indictment is also likely to include RICO racketeering charges, with a much longer potential jail term.

He might do.
I don't know what the best outcome would be in terms of restoration of democracy. A majority of the Republican base is clearly committed to him now whatever. If he goes to jail, does that shrink the size of the cult? Does it further radicalise the cult? If Biden pardons him for the sake of unity (as some Democrat analysts have said he should), does it in fact bring the country together a bit, or does it embolden the sense of lawlessness and self-righteousness of the Right?
I’m dubious that he’ll even spend one night in jail too, RR.
Even if convicted, I think there’s a good chance Biden will allow a “house arrest” scenario at Mar-a-Lago instead of state pen.
Scary thing is he might win the general elections

I can’t see him ever going to jail as the security risks are huge - all ex presidents have security so not sure how he’s protected in prison. I think house arrest is probably his biggest punishment no matter how much I’d love to see him rot in prison.
If he did go to jail however I think he’d become a martyr to a lot of his base. Funnily enough I saw one of the most batshiiit crazy things today online and that’s this guy from the one of the evangelical churches who said that members of the congregation are coming up to him complaining that the words of jesus are becoming too ‘woke’ and that they should be more like what Trump would say.
As for Biden pardoning him - not sure it would happen as that would probably require Trump to admit he broke the law.
In my humble opinion the best way to restore democracy there would be for a couple of drama free elections to happen and eventually people would forget the post-truth Trump era. However the likes of Vivek and RFK Jr are looking very promising for 2028 and they’re just as full of shiiit as Trump so might take a while for the grift to die down.
Trump can't lose.
If he's found guilty and goes to jail, he'll be a martyr. In the eyes of his supporters, all his cries of 'witch-hunt' and 'political persecution' will have been justified, and his downfall will be proof that America has descended into tyranny.
If he gets off, then it's a win for Trump and one in the eye for the Deep State/NWO/WEF/woke, corrupt, Democrat-run justice system/imaginary enemy of choice.
The damage Trump's ego has done to America will take generations to fix.
Robb,
Do you have a link for the woke Jesus thing? Sounds well worth reading in depth.
Yeah, I'm afraid this doesn't end with Trump - and in fact didn't start with him, though his emergence accelerated the descent into idiocracy. The fundamental issue is the degradation of the information landscape, both due to active fake news on the part of partisan outlets and complacent 'both-sides-ing' on that of mainstream ones that are afraid that calling a lie a lie makes them look biased in the eyes of a section of their advertising audience. Trump wouldn't have got anywhere near the White House a generation earlier. I can't see the information space getting any better. In fact, with AI it's almost certain to get worse.

Why would Biden pardon trump?

It’s quite extraordinary how the so-called evangelical right still continue to worship at the altar of Trump. Never mind the many indictments, which have mountains of supporting evidence for anyone with more than 3 brain cells. Just generally as a human being, is there a LESS Christian bloke on planet Earth than old DJT? Can’t be many, yet tens of millions (at least) of supposedly “religious” Americans continue to hang on his every word. Utterly inexplicable from the outside.
