Well, have been saying this all along that FFP is just a smoke screen that fans have bought into.

Remember when everyone saying how great it was that players had 60% reductions on wage 🤣🤣🤣

It absolutely fooked us.

When will people learn

the trouble, is you try and point any of this out and your just labelled as negative, people literally close their ears to the possibilities.

Owners feed fans what they want to hear "it will be hard FFP etc" and then fans do their job for them in justifying why biggest club in division, with parachute payments and wealthy owners, SHOULDN'T spend any money.

Its madness.

Doesn't look like it.

But if these guys are right, Orta responsible for identifying the players, Kinnear and Marathe responsible for the contracts.

Marathe has been trying to claim impunity due to 'just' being a passenger on a bus but I will repeat what I said last week. - Kalvin documentary on Amazon, It's AR, PM and AK round the table not VO.

Why would anyone think otherwise?

Why?

Because people dont want to believe that the people still running us are bad.

Then fans blame players for wanting to leave 🤣

Now people saying they didnt try, didnt care etc etc

Take 60% off someone, do not expect them to stay if an offer comes in which matches their old rate.

For some of these players, you could be talking 10m if we didnt come back up within a few years.

What world do some live in 🤦

To be fair fans are blaming the players for getting us into this position.

Can't absolve the players attitutude once the second goal for Palace went in.

Having said that, once in this position, it's normal human nature to go get 100% of your wages in a top league rather than attempt to kick your way out of our 2nd tier for up to a 60% reduction as reported in a lot of cases.

Orta is at fault for identifying wrong players.

Same way pre club scavenging off relegated teams, we should have been doing some of the same instead of mr clever clogs thinking he could unearth gems.

But length of contract, clauses etc always up to the board, same way AR offered 40m of staying up bonuses.

It's really all there from interview a couple of years ago where Paraag said he would help club structure their contracts.

All Orta did is number punch, manager tells him type of player he wants, the guys upstairs let him know the budgets, he puts that into a computer, the players that are available come up on the screen, Manager says yes or no, it may be with the likes of Aaronson etc, that manager has coached before and knows them but by and large we are not talking scouting like it used to be.

How does the flip side work out for you lot? - waking up looking forward to the day still right? (LIWs famous shrug smiley)

What planet are any of them on?

Pressure's building towards the closing of the window.

I'm sure Farke is sick to the back teeth of all this already.

The manager and the players are solely responsible for last year's sh!tshow.
Farke is a big step up over the clown in charge last year so all we can do as fans is hope the 49ers aren't all bluster and get him some players to work with.
Deep down most people must have had doubts before last season even started.
I know I sure did. The magic left with Bielsa

At this rate we'll be using the plastic "defender" dummies on the bench for the next games.

Salonika - many of us on here have been saying as much for weeks now. It’s slightly irritating that this subject is presented as ‘new information’.

Exactly.

And been attacked for saying it.

Not sure why anyone has to be right or wrong? It's just a cr4p state of play all round. Cheap shots against anyone not needed - no one truly knows what's happening - most worrying those running the club it feels.

Once again it feels we're in a hugely poor place as a club. Hopefully, as a fan, I see improvements in the playing squad asap .....

Strange that 49rs are so silent when its going to be toxic as hell on Friday. Their ownership could turn sour very quickly.

Surely some kind of statement should be released

posted on 15/8/23

I’ve just listened. It is so depressing being a Leeds fan! We were all looking forward to new ownership and taking the Championship by storm but what do we get? A miserable few weeks where 12 or so players have left but for no money whatsoever and only 4 new players brought in (and one of those on loan). We still have no new striker to even replace Rodrigo, let alone competition for Bamford who, if true to form, may be on the sick bench most of the season.

Harrison is the worst case of the lot. As the podcast said, why not put a release clause in for £20 mill or so? It was only April when the contract was drawn up. How I wish I didn’t have Leeds United in my heart because, apart from the Bielsa era (which now seems like a dream), following this Club just makes me miserable!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Wage reductions haven't fooked us at all.

Loan release clause instead minimum release fees. If every player was in a similar situation to Adams with a release fee around or just below what we paid for them then we would be in such a strong position.

If there was no wage reductions at all we would be in a terrible situation.

No one was able to predict these stupid loan release clauses though because they are so stupid it's hardly even believable.
