If she wins the world cup then why not? Even if she loses she's still worth considering

Why not

Don’t see why she couldn’t replace Southgate … she’s even spawnier with tournament draws than he is.

Women’s England team is not even Isthmian league level, let her manage Holland

I'd be happy with it

I like Sir Gareth but imo Wiegman would do a better job!

So why not give the isthmian champions manager the England job then?

No problem for me, I find Southgate a little boring.

Can't see why not, but might just be a big fish in a very small pond. Her success in women's international football doesn't mean she'd be as successful managing the Three Lions.

And she's exciting?

I’ll have her as ROI men’s team manager

I knew this would happen.

She has proved she can handle the pressure of the media and beaten the best in her particular field. Otherwise you may as well say a boys U16's manager who has won their respective league should be given a go!

She's definitely more tactically astute than Southgate, however there is point to what has been said above, Kevin Betsy was the up and coming manager when he was at Arsenal under 23. He was so good there Crawley town snapped him up, but he failed miserably.

One part of me thinks she can do it, another part of me thinks that there's a lot of differences between the men and woman's game.

Have England played a game in this WC they weren't favourites in, in terms of quality of players on the pitch?

Genuinely asking as I haven't watched any of it. But by all accounts they're doing about as well as you'd expect them to? Credit obviously goes to the manager but the OP is a bit of a jump.

I did take into account the work she’d done as coach in the previous three tournaments too which was superb.

The final will be the first game where we not heavy favourites. A Southgate type of run to the final.

You weren’t heavy favourites against us. We had momentum and a rabid home crowd. I think going in you were very slight favourites but it was a very tricky game for you.

Heavy is a bit much but I would have been very surprised if we had lost and the game justifies that. We were much the better team for most of it.

England had lost about 4/5 first team players since the Euros, 2 retired and 3 have ACL injuries.
Mead, Williamson and another girl

Their form coming into the world cup hadn't been the best either, maybe not scoring through open play or something.
Let's not forget not having Lauren James for 2 matches too, she knows how to change tactics to get the best out of what she has.

So for me it's a big achievement if they can win.

What really impressed me in the Euros she was not afraid to take of the "best players" in Mead and Ellen White to get the results, that's like taking off Saka and Kane.

England are heavy favorites for the final as well against a Spain side that lost half their team after a fallout with the coach.

In fairness this Spain side look very good and are actually slight favourites with the bookies against England but as Sheriff said, their coach is a caaant. You should read up on what he’s done and how the girls have done themselves proud whilst playing for someone they hate.
