I wish Paul Warne would just keep quiet about new signings until they have signed. He stated on Thursday/Friday we were close to bringing in a new face but probably not in time for the Fleetwood game yet here we are almost 6:00 PM UK time and zilch đ¤Źđ¤Źđ¤Ź

Clearly he's enjoyed raffle ticket duty more. ( IYKYK)

@Kentucky, I'm not. It was more in reference to the radio interview and PW saying if he can't sign he might get him involved with the ticket raffle.

I didn’t listen to PW’s interview. I stopped listening to him as personally, I think he’s full of platitudes. I’m sick of hearing the same stuff.

There is nothing else he can say really, he just says it as it is.
Do you want want him to mke things up just to please people.
Northampton at home - postponed - internationals
PW in common with just about every other manager in the pyramid is hauled out before the press after every game. In PW's case there will be three and maybe four different interviews - Rams TV, Derbys Live, Radio Derby and possibly Sky Sports or similar. More often than not, interviews immediately after a game are not a good idea but he is expected to come up with honest and meaningful responses often to the same inane questions. Most managers are dishonest - they never see fouls by their own players and never give credit to the opposition. PW is the opposite - as honest as he can be wherever possible and always ready to credit the opposition.
With regard to the "imminent" incoming of course it's frustrating but PW said that you never know what can happen during negotiations. You think you are there and suddenly there is a late demand, eg for a bonus if promotion is achieved. He said he can only relax when the player is at Moor Farm holding a Rams scarf up in front of the cameras.
We have two alternatives - either we are told nothing in response to all the questioning thus suggesting that nothing is being done or we are given some hope and assurance that something is being done. Which would you prefer?
Don't overlook a third option - we are told unequivocally that nothing is being done. That'll cheer everyone up!
Not that long ago that was virtually the only option Heb!
Just watched highlights of U21s v Mansfield (3-1 win). Sibs played first half and Oseni looked really promising - a bit like Brown.

I’d prefer nothing because I no longer believe anything he says. Other clubs seem to have no trouble getting players in.
We can't really know about other clubs Ken so your "seem" is correct.

Yes, there using money, which is, under the efl business plan, something we have not got.
Warne seems an honest chap. I might have some doubts about his style of play but I see no reason to disbelieve what he says. Why would he lie?
The third kit has been revealed, green top, white shorts, stripe, socks
Not bad. No new player wearing it in the photo shoot though.

New players are hard to find when you can only offer peanuts, if we don't get any more additions, Peterborough looks like a hard game.
We have a paper thin squad and we have three serious injuries already. This season is likely to be a long slog.
I think we can all agree it will be a tough, long slog and we need to treat this like a test match and just stay in (contention).
PW needs to clearly dip into the Academy and pick 2-3 players and give them the belief. Robinson I know has been one this season, Thompson may well be getting more opportunities this season, like to see one or two more.
I had considered Odruh too given our issues at RB but understand he's out on loan to Rochdale and played twice.
Frustrations are brewing, I know some of the comments have been around PW's interviewing style and his habit of throwing in a pun. I can totally understand how that can be annoying to some (just like R Keogh was incredibly annoying with his 'listen' at the beginning of every....EVERY conversation.)
PW is different to the other managers we've had,he certainly does have a likeable personality compared to say Clement who spoke like a monotonous robot.
One thing I have noticed this and last season is the number of complaints regarding 'he doesn't see the game like we do....' have reduced considerably and he tends to be a lot more accurate after the match with post match analysis.
Its a huge step up for him from the previous regime at Rotherham, he's bound to make mistakes along the way which will frustrate and annoy us in equal measure.
He may also be stubborn and want to implement things his own way, the change to 5-3-2 in the second half that caused a wobble to our play. He's won promotion twice possibly thrice with this style (albeit without the players he requires which is to a an extent out of his hands)
I just don't want fans and the media to hound this guy out that he turns into a shell of the man that he was.
( I recall Cocu when he first joined and the state he was in when he left the club)
These guys need to learn fast, fortunately PW changed the formation and sticks to it until he adds at least 4-5 more players and then looks to slowly tweak it back to his favoured formation.
I sense a defeat against Posh given our current injury problems and lack of recruitment. I certainly hope not as I lookout for our result from a more sunnier climate in Mauritius this weekend.
He got his team relegated 3 times with 5 at the back Des.
Have a good time in Mauritius, I've never been able to afford a fancy trip like that.
