Trust me I would be happy if we had Obertan, Welbeck and Macheda upfront than what we have now. It isn’t worthy of non-league level. We had a lot more shots than Man City in the PL and FA Cup last season and scored a lot less goals.😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Man City had more shots per game, and more shots on target per game than Utd last season, so this is false.

Also, shots don't necessarily mean clear chances. At 39%, Man Utd (along with Southampton) played a higher percentage of shots from outside the 18-yard box than any team last season (City was 32%, Arsenal 30%). Also Man U were 15th in the league for percentage of shots within the 6-yard box. You keep kidding yourself that Man U are creating all these gilt-edged chances and missing them. You were crap.

We already missed 5 big chances this season and have scored 1 league goal. Man City missed the 1 big chance and scored 4 league goals and the scary thing is this is just our shocking finishing under Ten Hag near normal level so it will only get better if we get some strikers in.

We missed 71 big chances last season in the league while Man City missed 70.

posted on 20/8/23

Also we really actually missed around 120 big chances last season but as our strikers are so bad they run one on ones out of play or into the goalkeeper without shooting.😂

You should watch Man Utd Everton game at OT last season. We should have been 12-0 up around 36 minutes in if they could just do basic finishing. Instead it was 0-0.😂 Honestly if I was Ten Hag I would quit or get a whole new strikeforce in. I honestly cannot recall a team so bad at finishing as this. You should see thr big chances we miss. I think we missed about 30 chances from 2 yards out with a near open goal last season in the league alone.😂 What is crazy is likes of Rashford laugh it off after every miss as they know the next miss is only a few mins away.😂

posted on 20/8/23

Remember Brighton away last season we could have scored 6 goals in first 30 minutes and same away to West Ham but our useless strikers screwed every chance up when in on goal. We end up losing both games without scoring. I actually now think we got the worst strikeforce the premierleague has ever seen.

Last season we created 84 big chances and missed 71 of them.😂

If I was in charge Rashford, Martial Sancho, Antony all would be out the door. They are like non-league level attackers. Martial is the only one you could say is clinical but he is usually injured so won’t matter.

Also we made it 1-0 against Everton in 36th minute but should have been 12-0 up that should say. I think Kane on a normal day would have scored 12 goals from those chances as even a 5 year old would probably score 7 or 8 of those chances we missed.

Everyone played well, bar Richalison perhaps. I'm not sure what's wrong but we should certianly be bringing in other striker.
Son was better than last time out, maybe getting into the season.
I was much happier with VDV, played solid defence.
And Vicario now has my confidence that we have a good, if not great, goalkeeper.
Porro was impressive, Kulushevski keeps on trying and although he runs into a lot of trouble and double teams, I think he'll score.
Romero solid, seems much happier now with VDV there.
Of course Saar and Bissouma were standouts outs.
And really, Perisic deserves that goal, terrific cross that Davies should have connected with.
I'm glad to see AussieGlue is selecting the team well.
Will be interested to see the new guy, Solomon get an outing so we can see what he can really do!

All that said, I think AussieGlue's tactics do leave us open to conceding goals. United for some reason just couldn;t hit a barn door today, and they had plenty of chances.
I think the jury is still out on AussieGlue.

Thank you Spurs. After years of watching this fixture in the hope of a good laugh at United, you finally delivered. Crazy game, but very entertaining. Manager is a likeable chap too.

They still should have scored 3 or 4.

Agreed, but Spurs could have scored a lot more themselves. Overall Spurs were worthy winners.

Rubbish. The only one they should have scored was Brunos header.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rashford header, Bruno Header, Antony 1v1, penalty. etc
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What penalty?

Spurs played very well. United couldn't keep up with their passing, which as someone said, I haven't really seen from Spurs since Poch.

Well Spurs always beat Man City at home. Have your lot even scored at the new ground. We have your lot on toast every season.

We have had 2 PL games and already we have seen the officials refuse to give 2 penalties against Penited, one for Wolves and one for Spurs when Romero was felled.

We have also seen Varpool gifted an undeserved penalty after a Szoboszlai dive under miniscule contact, with the game evenly poised at 1-1.

It is safe to say the red shirt bias is predictably already in full swing and there for all to see.

Billy, that penalty given to Liverpool was a complete joke. He never even touched the player, who dived to the ground. HTF did VAR not pick that up?

That’s just an aspect of Spursiness. You take points of us, then drop them to relegation zone teams. But we struggle through anyway.

posted on 20/8/23

Also the way Spurs now play the game I would suggest means we're much less likely to take points off City.

Previously we just bored them into dropping points to us....

What a save by Romero. Probably better than Suarez save in the world cup.

That person responsible for VAR denied us 2 penalties at home to Newcastle United last season and got demoted as a result.
