The mutinous letter was signed by 15 of the players, and seven R Madrid said the club had pressured them into not signing. The players had a list of grievances, and only went public after conversations with the coach himself and then with the FA head honcho failed to make any impact.

Spain's current manager was only hired after the squad revolted against their former manager Ignacio Quereda. The Spanish FA probably just got tired of their whinging. They can complain about the manager's methods, but giving an ultimatum requesting they not be called up went a tad too far.

Just read the wiki shared above and I reaffirm my thoughts. The players didn't like his coaching, nothing else. They underperformed at the Euros and blamed the coach. He's only pick a habdfulnof those for the world Cup, and everyone has called this the Soanish B team, yet he's taken them to the final. If this was the mens team or the coach was a women, it would be the players who would be blasted. But because its female players and a male coach they are making it out as something much worse and the coach as a villain.

Mutinous behaviour like that is not tolerated from male pros for sure. I remember when Chelsea players got Villas Boas sacked and they were savaged for it. Women whinging tends to evoke more sympathy than men.
