Soundtrack to grosse point blank is epic.
Today's music is far too basic and repetitive, it also seems to have absolutely nothing interesting to say.
I like great musicianship and interesting lyrics so faves are :-

Queen

Springsteen
Also love some Stevie Wonder, great musician.

Heart Of Gold by Neil Young is an amazing song. First time we've agreed on anything, Sandy.
Mine's fairly mixed as I shouldn't really like the stuff I do considering I'm thirty years behind you. I did love all the Britpop stuff of my teenage years but really I always come back to the 60s for the stuff that really stays with me. I was brought up on Bob Dylan and a lot of folk music but artists like Sam Cooke aren't talked about enough. The guy was a genius. Weirdly still like Sinatra and even watched a couple of documentaries on The Everly Brothers the other day. Their harmonies are just incredible. You wouldn't have had The Beatles in the same way without them laying the foundations. They're rarely talked about too.

Fridge, I liked Sam Cooke and my mate was a big Sinatra fan, and I myself quite liked to listen to him from time to time. I am very varied in my music tastes. Just my favourite periods were 1950s, 60s and 70s up to the punk era. Not to say I didn't like any of the punk songs or music that came thereafter, I did.
I can do pop, tamla, folk, rock, prog rock.
Mine's very varied. Red Hot Chilli Peppers are my favourite band - I saw them at the Spurs stadium in July.
In terms of which bands I enjoy the most songs of - probably Stereophonics, Oasis, Blur, Kings of Leon, The Killers, Arctic Monkeys.
I'm big into underground dance music as well - Tech House & Techno.
The Eagles
Early Dylan
and of course any Tamla Motown

Saw them at Download a while back, they’re good live, good chemistry with the crowd etc.
Some really good bands have poor chemistry with the crowd, like Korn and System of a Down.
One surprising band live for me was Sum41, they’re more heavier live than their recorded versions, a lot better.
Like most in here - very mixed in my likes - Santana to Leo sayer !
Do yourself a favour though and listen to Dimash - a Kazakhstan singer - hailed by many as the best singer in the world - mental what he does with his voice !!
