The head coach has said the club need to strengthen in many positions, so a reasonable person might conclude that it should not be a one-in, one-out situation.
I cannot remember a season when there wasn't some injury crisis.
I do not have the required coaching badges so i defer to the expert rather than for examples a horse trainer and a tennis coach.
It is a very important season Leeds need to get promotion large amounts of income depend on getting promoted. So if they do not think to sell every available player. When the club has gained promotion might be the time to re-adjust the composition of the squad.

Grey please just indulge me and say who the horse trainer is you refer to?
I genuinely have no idea and your reference did make me smile ☺

Greenwood going on loan to Middlesbrough. Bit of a shock.
Hjelde, Gyabi available for loan.
Must be at least one Midfielder coming in

I’d be glad to see Hjelde and Gyabi go - dead wood.
Interesting that Sam is going on loan to a club in the same division as us, especially as we don't have any attacking centre midfielders of a similar vein and certainly nobody who can deliver a set piece like he does.
He is a North East boy so it makes sense for him family and home wise.
The numbers don't seem to add up for us though, unless as Outwood says we have definite arrivals on the cards.

Is there anything definite on this yet?
Leaves us very short in midfield. Id say we need two cm in now
Joffy off too on loan apparantly or is being made available so that could mean another new striker is being lined up... Matt Smith????

Greenwood is another who came in and was lauded as a huge talent along with Bate and Gelhardt and Gyabi was said to be great, probably because he cost 5 m and probably because he came from Man City.
Not these players fault, but our awful policy of trying to be clever with transfers which costs us huge amount of time and money and effetely stalls these players potential careers.
However, all of these are first team squad players now, so for them to exit leaves and already thin squad even thinner.
Bate - never make it at leeds
Greenwood - lovely feet, just cant run, cant away with it at this level
Gybai - £5m, talk about being ripped off
Gelhardt - not progressed, dont know what he does these days
If were being honest tonnes of these young lads have done nothing really. That's not to say they are not good players but maybe to do well at Leeds you have to have a certain personalty
Greenwood, Gelhardt, Hjelde, Drameh, Bate. I'm maybe being harsh as seen very little of some of them. But I've never seen them come on and thought excitement.
Jury out on Cresswell and Gyabi.
It's very easy to sometimes get carried away by the youngsters.
The one who has impressed this last month is Shackleton. His flexibility is of great importance too

I haven't heard anything thing about Joffy leaving.
Gyabi a loan might do him good.

I really like Greenwood. Technically brilliant and sounds daft but the ball does what he wants it to. His lack of pace will stop him making it the Prem even though much less gifted players will be able to. Such a shame.

He reminds me of Mcphail, lots of technical brillance.
But its just not the lack pace, lack of mobility too.
Seem to remember Mowatt was seriously hampered due to top speed being not much than a fast walk.

So much hype on all of them, and you're not allowed to question it if you haven't watched all the U23 matches, but its pretty easy to see when you them play in first team.
Gelhardt excited initially, won so many fouls around the area, but lost his mojo and I dont think he'll get it back at Leeds.
If we had a penny for every time one of these was labelled a "generational talent" we'd never have to worry about FFP again.
I've said Greenwood would struggle at Barnsley, to me he needs to stop with the tattoos, and get a decent haircut. But to my surprise, last night he came on and hit a sweet free kick, played a couple of nice cross field passes and struck a confident penalty. Somebody mentioned £3m for him...I'd take it!
Sometimes players have to move away from ER to reach their full potential, I am at a loss as to why Drameh can look a different class for the U23's carry that on into Cardiff and Luton and yet when he pulls on the shirt for our first team he's a different player, maybe it's the weight of expectation, maybe because he's unhappy, maybe because he has been played out of position. He will go on and have a successful career in the Premier league of that I am certain.
Joffy, I think needed continuity, he lost his way under Marsch and has never really got it back.
Cresswell will be a quality Premier centre back he is 21 and time is on his side. He made his Premier League debut at 19.
Seems to happen a lot with us, young players brought in and we are told this lad will be playing in the Champions League one day etc.
Maybe it happens elsewhere as well, I do not follow other clubs youth progression.

He is 21, but 4th choice CB in the Championship.
I really don't see him paying much this season.
So when/how does 4th choice Championship centre back morph into quality Prem centre back?
I would have kept Greenwood and loaned Joffy out to be honest.
I expect us to sign 3 players before the window. 2 cms and a left back. Maybe one of the cms more attacking
Luke Thomas off to Sheff united apparently 😑
