We won't pay for Johnson, Eze or Fati, we will sign an unheard of Danjuma type forward who will add nothing to the squad.
We'll put in a Levy bid for one CB which we "won't get over the line" and one or two of our useless squad players will be loaned cos we can't sell them.

You on the otherhand have seen Spurs win next to nothing, so I don`t quite get why you think Spurs should suddenly be hoovering up trophies.
We are living in the age of the financially doped. Spurs are just about punching where they should be right now. In or around the top four, five or six most seasons.
Mediocrity would be floundering about in the lower leagues, with no hope of promotion.

a counter argument is that levy has funded a squad good enough to reach 4 or 5 major finals, including the CL, and about 10 or so semi finals....... and the players / management have totally bottled it....
perfect examples are poch playing son LWB v chelsea, nobody showing up for the CL final, avb playing dembele (our key player at the time) in a meaningless european game 3 days before cup final with chelsea, when we had already topped the group... and was facked for the final.
getting turned over in every single fa cup semi final we have played in since 1991 - absolute disgrace.... what is it about 9 in a row?!!! its a poison seeped deep into the club, well before Levy.

We are living in the age of the financially doped. Spurs are just about punching where they should be right now. In or around the top four, five or six most seasons.

a counter argument is that levy has funded a squad good enough to reach 4 or 5 major finals, including the CL, and about 10 or so semi finals....... and the players / management have totally bottled it....
perfect examples are poch playing son LWB v chelsea, nobody showing up for the CL final, avb playing dembele (our key player at the time) in a meaningless european game 3 days before cup final with chelsea, when we had already topped the group... and was facked for the final.
getting turned over in every single fa cup semi final we have played in since 1991 - absolute disgrace.... what is it about 9 in a row?!!! its a poison seeped deep into the club, well before Levy.

We'll put in a Levy bid for one CB which we "won't get over the line" and one or two of our useless squad players will be loaned cos we can't sell them.

We won't pay for Johnson, Eze or Fati, we will sign an unheard of Danjuma type forward who will add nothing to the squad.
We'll put in a Levy bid for one CB which we "won't get over the line" and one or two of our useless squad players will be loaned cos we can't sell them.
Ange will be left short, as expected, and we'll be begging for the next transfer window.

You need to reign in your stupidly unrealistic expectations. We will be short, we will need to do more business in the future, we will need to get deals done on deadline day, we may need some stop gap loan options if permanet choices are unobtainable.. This is window 1 in Ange's reign, have a look around, which clubs have given their manager everything they wanted this summer?
Think back to the Poch era, it takes a season or 2, a window or 3 to really build what you want and the depth needed to challenge. Consider Arteta and Klopps as further examples of this! Basically, use your brain and develop reasonable expectations rather than finding fault in everything and expecting us to solve all our problems in one go !

Devonshire, I don`t think Don and commonsense go together. Problem with Don he is like a kid in a sweetshop, wants every flavour of the week player. Mention a player linked to Spurs, and Don wants them, and if they don`t sign for Spurs, then Don thinks Levy has fecked up.
I like Don a lot, but feck me he is such a simpleton at times. Thinks you can just go and buy any player you want, and sell all the duff Spurs players all in one window.
If you don`t agree with his Levy out, then somehow you are not a proper supporter.

Nope. I have Seen the way the club operate and have figured them out for years. It’s not my fault you and Devonshire continue to accept mediocrity and can’t seem to grasp what’s infront of you and has been for years. Don, I don`t think either Devonshire or myself accept mediocrity. In fact if anything I should be the one moaning because I have seen the greatest Spurs sides in their history, and Spurs are nowhere near those sides now. You on the otherhand have seen Spurs win next to nothing, so I don`t quite get why you think Spurs should suddenly be hoovering up trophies.
We are living in the age of the financially doped. Spurs are just about punching where they should be right now. In or around the top four, five or six most seasons.
Mediocrity would be floundering about in the lower leagues, with no hope of promotion.

a counter argument is that levy has funded a squad good enough to reach 4 or 5 major finals, including the CL, and about 10 or so semi finals....... and the players / management have totally bottled it....
perfect examples are poch playing son LWB v chelsea, nobody showing up for the CL final, avb playing dembele (our key player at the time) in a meaningless european game 3 days before cup final with chelsea, when we had already topped the group... and was facked for the final.
getting turned over in every single fa cup semi final we have played in since 1991 - absolute disgrace.... what is it about 9 in a row?!!! its a poison seeped deep into the club, well before Levy.

We'll get linked to a fairly high profile name but nothing will come of it and will get filed under the "we tried" box.
We may lose one or two of the players we're aiming to get rid of but it won't be any one of the ones we most want to see leave.
Probably sign someone on loan who Danny Rose has to google.
