We ain’t getting a CB without selling slabhead. Otherwise well have 6 CBs in our first team squad.

He can go in January when he realises he really needs to play to get into the England squad.

We have become a laughing stock. We don't do business the right way, we frustrate other clubs with our approach, we are consistently failing with our scouting and player selections. Look at the team around us, the way they strengthen and the way they conduct themselves. What is the solution, how do we force Glazers out?

As soon as it was known they wouldn't sell this summer, fans should not have renewed their season tickets. But most are unwilling to go that far. Protests after games are no use. The stadium needs to be empty for the game, every week. Yes this is unfair to the players, but better for the club in the long term.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As utopian as that sounds it’s complete unrealistic for o expect that from people. It’s very hard for someone who’s maybe waited on a waiting list for years before getting a ticket, or been a season ticket holder for decades to give up a season ticket knowing they might never get it back again. What happens if they get everything they wanted, the owners gone, club operating efficiently, and us competing again and someone who’s never had a season ticket in their life before hand, who sacrificed nothing, ends up getting one before them?? All things are not equal.

Depends if you believe all the BS out there.

Cucurella for example, was never an option, but taken as gospel by some.

Southgate has just put Slabhead, Phillips and Henderson in the England squad, think he’s safe.

There should be no heartburn.
We are run by imbeciles.

Doing this much business on the last day is a sign of desperation.

One of the signings as down to injuries and the other is because a backup keeper has left. It's not like it's panic stations

Yes. I think he did it this time but I'm hoping he'll be telling them during that time that they really need to be playing regularly to get into the England squad for the Euros.

Maguire could retire from club football and play pro ten pin bowling and Southgate would still pick Maguire for England.

Yeah, he's already signalled to Maguire that playing regularly will be important. Southgate likes continuity and is therefore slow to drop players who have performed well for him in the face of poor club form. But Maguire must know that conservatism will work against him. If he loses his England place due to another lost year at United, it's unlikely he'll get it back if he finally moves in 2024 to a club where he's first choice.

Poch has spent more money this summer than in the 11 transfer windows he was at Spurs.

He does drop favourites eventually. Sterling is out, and he is playing more football, playing better, and a couple of years younger. Maguire must be on the precipice of losing his place after Southgate's public comment.

Does Amrabat get in our strongest 11? Or is he a squad player

posted on 1/9/23

Why would he pick him this time though knowing he isn’t moving or likely to play for United this season? Just to tell him he won’t get picked again?

posted on 1/9/23

I guess Amrabat starting is based on who we play and how we want to set up. He can play over Mount if we want more support for Casemiro and also as a replacement for Casemiro. We didn’t really have a set trio of midfielders last season.
