I like most of the signings, there's a lot of potential there - but it is potential. There are a lot of Poch-type players, let's hope he can develop them and they can grow into a fabulous team. We lack experience is my biggest fear. It would have been nice to have someone solid, calm and experienced in midfield. There will be a lot of pressure on James,Chilwell,Thiago Silva, Sterling to first, stay fit, and second, lead the youngsters.

Chelsea "fan" doesn't even know his team's players 😂
Thank you for the typo error advice, i will in a moment when i finish what i'm doing attend to the corrections
Anyway, now , 19 + U21935.
Do you have any thing meaningful or interesting to add ?
or are on chatting blx, because you have fck all else to do ?
Hi Eric,
Yeah the experience issue, in an ideal world , with out the pressure of the necessity to regain C/L football you would assume the squad would have lea-way to steadily progress.
It is not like that, but 35 games is 35 , if they can focus week by on the EPL, without to much distraction they should be in with a chance.
The squad is big enough

God forbid there’s spelling mistakes on the internet
Yeah, im a typo specialist
so nick , what do you reckon? i think the squad is decent.
Shame about the pressure, an ongoing legacy of the poor decision making in the first 12 months imo.
Im really quite excited to see the dynamic as it builds within the squad this season.
I think it's been a 7/10 window.
Fantastic in getting rid of the deadwood, however I think we've paid scandalous money on players that we didn't necessarily need.
The owners seem to have this urge, and understandably so to push to the top of the league. But they are the ones putting pressure on themselves to do so.
If we saved £2/300 million on caicedo and a few other signins and promoted casadei and a few others (gallagher balling out atm) then we'd have less need to get CL football all whilst promoting potential world beaters.
Yes ,that is spot on,
The ownership have been their own worst enemies.
Imo sacking Tuchel was singularly most damaging decision, i can see that there were reasons to be dissatisfied with certain aspects of his management, but that is with all managers imo.
Imo, if he had stayed we more than likely would have maintained our C/L status, the rebuild would have happened , it would have looked different and the pressures would not have been as they are today.
Still we are where we are, game on all those who have been crying out for a youth driven progression are now going to get their wish.
it is a matter of time and patience.
‐-------
Doesn't it concern you that those are not qualities that Chelsea has shown at any point in the 21st century?
Well, put into context.
Time and patience over this season. 35 games.
All we need to do is get a 5th place finish, with this squad.
Minimal distractions,( no European football)
The cup runs will help develop the squad.
The facts and circumstances are the club has an ambition to play at the very highest level & they have an immediate need to boost their income with C/L football.
It will be what it will be, nothing is guaranteed .
The club have set their stall out.
I do like the look of the squad!

I wasn't against Tuchel going, but bringing Potter in was disastrous. Any ability the signings we made have disappeared due to his total incompetence. Will we ever see Mudryk at his best? He wasted development time and more importantly, lost all of his confidence because of Potter's tactics and inability. Then, bringing Lamps back just destroyed everything.
Had they put in a decent coach at the beginning and followed his plans, we'd have saved money and we'd be a year further along. We've bought some decent players but defensively, we are weaker than we were two years ago and in an attacking sense, slightly better. We do have lots of potential bit it's going to be a long and bumpy process. And, yes, let's hope they have the finances under control - I believe they do - and I know our wage bill has reduced considerably, but I do worry that we will be in a position where we won't be able to act in the transfer market in the future because we've blown it all now.
Yeah, Cfc suffer with short term memory span, much like a gold fish
Eric, yeah it is going to be a bumpy ride, i did write an article ages ago suggesting that the new ownership have taken the club back 20 years in the first 12 months of their tenure.
Im still not uncertain, if they will even recover from this tbh.
not certain typo for full effect!

How long did he last?
Finances under control, the issue is we are running an amortization figure in the region of 200m per season
Based on that figure, the club must bring an annual income of aprx 500- 550m to just comply FFP.
Last recorded income figures were under 500m with C/L football.
So without, going forward , the club need to get back in and build new income streams.
Including profit from player speculation.
Cutting the away travel subsidy i dont think will cut, its cheap & nasty

How many in your squad have played even 2 seaso s together?
Sure, stranger things can happen, but they're mostly complete strangers to one another and need to develop understanding on the fly under a new manager ... for many their 4th in under a year ...
I get that you like the squad, but a year can go by very slowly when things aren't working out. It's great to be hopeful, but from the club perspective I'd be careful not to take such speedy progress for granted. Unles theyve already worked out that they can afford to rinse and repeat again next summer.
Yeah it is a huge risk , with many unknowns.
Some players will not work out some will , but that is the nature of the beast.
But this squad does have a huge amount of talent & quality, time will be the judge of how wise the clubs decision making has been.
Imo to date it is questionable.
But the time and patience is in the context of this season, not fretting about next season.
Gotcha. Well, good luck with it. It definitely isn't unheard of for teams to do well after a huge overhaul - a number of Spanish clubs still manage to perform decently even when they have to patch a side together out of a ton of loanees and bargain basement buys every season. In England, everyone thought Forest's business last year was crazy, yet it worked out well for them. But it's high risk, as you say, and it looks like the competition even for 5 CL places os going to be pretty stiff.
