Bid made 150 mil

If they really are prepared to go to £200m then as long as it is cash up front, sell him now.

Too late to replace? Gomez at RB, TAA in Salahs position with Doak as a last 20m sub most games.

Or a quick £50-60m on Bowen if we have time. Best option in the league right now. Brighton would want stupid money for Mitoma.

Saving the rest for Jan or the Summer.

Salah getting £1.5m/week offered will leave an unhappy player if his head has been turned.

How much did you pay for Salah?

Suppose it depends on how much he values still trying to win major trophies as he'll know as soon as he joins Saudi his career is done outside of AFCON/world cup.

Plus if he did lead us to another Prem title he could probably ask for even more money.

It really isn’t. The big majority of players are still Saudi and most of them wouldn’t get into a league one side. They’re nowhere near one of the best leagues.

Don’t be silly Kash and make this a Muslim thing. There’s nothing arrogant about stating the obvious, at this point in time the standard of football in SA is bang average. Even they know this themselves, which is why they’re throwing so much money at it.

Who said its a Muslim thing?

The leading Saudi sides have strong squads unlike Qatar who were spending money but it was a weak league. Saudi league is one of the strongest in Asia. How many strong sides are there in Portugal, France, Belgium etc? How many Luton players will get in Saudi teams? None.

Yes all the players are going for money which is no different to none British players joining PL sides.

Being a strong league in the context of the region doesn’t make it strong anywhere else. Remove this seasons splurge and it’s a nothing league, and you know it.

You need to forget the past because the present is where it is happening. Saudi league has gone above numerous European leagues whether you like it or not and now there is a 2.3 Trillion promise from MBS to invest in football.

Saudi the other day saw Mane's team vs Jordans, at least I think it was them, and they looked mid table Prem to me and that's in just one summer.

I like a bit if competition though and really don't see the difference to what they're doing and what the Prem has done for years, which is blow other leagues put if the water with money.

I've already watched bits and bobs. It seems okay to me.

Still nothing close to the top 5 leagues. It’s on par with the MLS.

The Pro League has already overtaken most European leagues, including the likes of the Dutch, Portuguese & Turkish leagues.

I saw a clip on IG of an Al-Ahli goal a few days where Saint-Max ran with it and passed to Mahrez, who crossed for a Firmino tap-in. How many teams outside of the elite teams can boast that level of talent?

Al-Hilal signed Neymar for goodness sake, even Serie A clubs don't have that kinda clout anymore.

They need to get the games on mainstream TV in places like the UK though, which I'm sure they will soon.

Soon, winning the Pro League will become a prestigious achievement and within a few years, probably only the PL and maybe La Liga will be above it.
