Thoughts on the window

I admire Farke for his loyalty firstly to his players but also to his bosses, it's clear that he is continuously being shafted and I respect his integrity.

Even yesterday he was saying nobody was leaving and once again the Americans stitched him up. Why he hasn't walked by now in the face of their duplicity is anyone's guess.

As much as I can, I believe Farke, I dont think he is given honest assessment on situation from the board.

The problem is that if he allows this, trying to get on with his job, the owners will continue that behaviour, the longer you leave an issue, the harder it is to address.

With takeover done, window closed, there are no excuses now for owners not giving clarity.

Interesting Jonty that you too don't seem to be putting the blame for the contract mess on Orta. I have said for a while that these contracts would have been drawn up by legal at the behest of the guy who negotiates contracts in his sleep and would have needed to have been agreed by the board. Orta simply would not have had that degree of authority. The board would surely have looked at all of the what ifs including what would happen if we were relegated.
Orta is a nice easy hook to hang the blame on but I don't buy it.
It would be good, as you say, to know the truth.

I thought the loan window closed last night?

The only thing open now is Saudi as they are not part of any governing body yet. Thry can have Gnonto for £100m 🤣🤣🤣

Not correct - he said he hoped things were done but you can never tell.

Can Premier League clubs loan players after deadline?

Once the transfer window has closed, Clubs are only able to register an 'Out of Registration' player or an Emergency Loan Goalkeeper (in accordance with Regulation 58).

Im the same, I've always said Orta selects the players, but its the management who structure and approve the contracts and there is zero chance that Marathe not party to these contracts.

Orta's problem was that he selected rubbish players, but yes very convenient to blame past regime and Maraathe alludes too without saying anything definite.

Sneaky.

I was thinking emergency loan window, but maybe that's changed now, I hope so!

Disappointed Sini has gone but if as Phil Hay reported they were threatening legal action then best thing is to get rid and it looks like we have bought in a solid performer to play in a poor league, it was all about one man for me this TW and hes here plus some other very good additions have arrived so all and all I'm very happy, what's gone on with players leaving and their contracts is another matter but let's cut the negativity and concentrate on the playing side of things, see you all in the Premier League

Yes it has. Only for goal keepers now.

ADRITK - Understand your sentiment, but don't think it is negative to question the 'basket case' that is the consequences, present and future, of these Loan clauses.

As I keep saying, Marathe cannot claim impunity.

Rubbish players?

I think at the time most were buzzing with two WC Americans, a young, exciting Italian international, a Columbian and the likes of Rasmus.

OK we all think we paid well over the odds for Rutter who but looking at him this season I think he could be a huge asset.

Let’s get everyone fit and kick some harse in this league.

Hindsight is wonderful though 😏

Quite like the squad, happy with it.

But we never give ourselves a fair chance.

King of contracts has really messed up with these deals.

1 Cost us at least 3 points, probably 7.
2 how much better would it been with full preseason behind the squad together.
3 This isnt behind us, we are in a terrible position when all these Loanees come back.

Yes rubbish player, it's not hindsight, been saying it for years as have some others.

Orta has water our money for years and years.

He's been a disaster for us.

You forgot 1 lie though Jonty

- kinnear met the supporters and stated expect only 1 more player to leave the club. Since then we have lost Adams and Sinisterra.

Got loads of stick on fan group pages for saying we signed too many unknowns.

Window for me was 95% miserable, just constant rumours day after day about our favourite/best players leaving and us taking an age to get things done. A slow start has cost us around 5 points so far and now we're playing catchup. Hopefully Piroe stays fit and the two midfield lads turn out to be decent.
