I think one other unnoticed wording sign is that drameh, who many felt was future of our right back position, despite new owners and manager has not wanted to stay.

It speaks volumes about what he felt about his potential future with us.

5 stars from me too. Articles stating some home truths often aren't popular but over the years as a fan base we haven't done it nearly enough and given too many people too many free passes for too long.

To their credit Farke, Hammond and Steinsson have managed to play with the hand they have been dealt to do the sort of smart, orthodox value for money(time will tell) recruiting the club has needed for years with the exception of bringing in a specialist left back.

It is now over to Farke and the players to make the best of this and try catch up on the poor start owners past and present have helped create.

Oh and spare a thought for Anthony.

Travelled with his squad, to be told, by the way, scrap all your plans for you and your family this years, you can go to Leeds, we dont really want you.

I think the squad is good. We kept Gnonto and Summerville and added Piroe. Spence and Rodon are good additions albeit on loan and I think Kamara is a very good addition and although I don't know much those that do on twitter reckon Gruev is a good player. I get though that last year on the whole people thought it was a good window and this didn't turn out to be the case.

Also Anthony isn't like Gyabi deal at all. He is a known quantity that has already been proven at this level.

We definitely have one of the stronger squads but as LIW says we have made things so hard for ourselves with having to make all our moves so late in the day. Sinisterra is gutting to lose and the club obviously thought they were in the right, which is why they could demand a player swap, but if Sinisterra team were threatening legal action which could have wrangled on for months then I don't think the club had many options.

The word 'Rubbish' has been criticised; but in the context of performances and results, from basically last years World Cup, and certainly from half time in the Palace game onwards, please enlighten me with an adjective that fits the bill better?

"club obviously thought they were in the right"

if they thought they were in the right, they would have said no, just as they did with Gnonto, who did far worse than Sinisterra by refusing to play.

Clearly it went to the Lawyers and the response was 'oh no not another one' ( but at least the Lawyers get paid).

Great article with excellent contributions reflecting the anger and frustration we are all feeling.
Today's match has become more important than ever I think. A win is a neccesity otherwise could become nasty.

See you all over at the match day thread and hopefully for a positive result.

Earl - You've got it in an nutshell, frustration is too small a word as I still believe this was avoidable.

Radz, Kinnear, Orta and Marathe have all contributed to a fiasco.

We’ve got a very good first 11 - a few injuries and I think we are a mid table team

From Phil Hay’s article today:
Leeds rejected a bid from Nice for Sini a couple of weeks back. Sini and his agent thought this should have been accepted as per the contract clause. Which led to yesterday them threatening legal action if the Bournemouth deal didn’t go through. Leeds said it can go through if Bournemouth send us a player they deem good enough in return and Anthony fit that criteria as he was a starter for Bournemouth. Leeds think they were in the right but didn’t want any of this to continue on and wanted to draw a line under it

So we could have got money a few weeks back with time to replace but instead get nothing except player who is always near bottom of match ratings.

Sinisterra was the outstanding player of this division, Anthony has a lot to live up to.

Not his fault, he’s been shafted by Bournemouth.

Article didn’t specify if it was transfer or loan. My gut feeling would be he had a loan clause as well. Did we reach the limit of international loans maybe

I think it would be good now the window is shut if the club came out and explained some of the thinking behind the deals that have been done wether the fans like it or not then we can put a line under it and get on with the job in hand,
On other matters apparently the manager is living above a bar in Harrogate that has a lively reputation the landlady was known for whipping her top off on a Saturday night can see just Daniel in there tonight after we’ve won dancing on the tables,

Players that will definitely be returning from their loan spells with no offer from the loan club:
Kristensen
Llorente (unless it was already in the deal)
Aaronsen

Just unpick that, I stand by my assertion that Drameh willl be a quality right back and will play in the premier league I also think he will have a good season with Brum where he will feel valued.
It happens.
We in the meantime have signed Spence on loan, good prospect but Spurs' prospect and he will probably start in the coming weeks ahead of Bill who isn't getting any younger.
At the end of this season we will have an ageing right back (Ayling) and Firpo on the left.
Worrying?

Drameh should be the future but wanted to leave, and we’ve stored up issues for the summer.

Yes but we will buy players 🤦

Drameh isnt the answer and never was

Don't think it's at all surprising that Cody Drameh has found a way out. No, he wasn't the answer but I don't think being at Leeds has done him any good at all. Good luck to him.
