With Onana, we look like having an extra defender. Unfortunately, Lindelof cancels that advantage every time he receives the ball.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Still not seen the replay but lindelof is lucky he was not sent off
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Huh? Thats never a red
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Saka's is far closer to red than Lindelof

granted yellow is fair for both

We are also playing with a noticeable lack of confidence. Almost like we expect to lose and seem suprised we went ahead.

OMG, Theo Walcott is on sky sports analysis team🤣

We are going to get caught out if Onana keeps passing to eriksen / Casemiro on edge of our area with back to goal.

Antony has been busy.
Shame he isnt consistent but he's put the effort in today.

At HT: #MUFC 228 passes to Arsenal's 170, but only 38 in the opposition half, compared to 90 for hosts.

United have had 56% of the ball + four of five most successful passers: Lindelof (48), Casemiro (36), Martinez (29), Onana (29)

A story of safe possession + slow build-up.

Van Gaal’s spirit lives on lads

Not the game to introduce Hjojlund. Be starved of service at this rate.aybe Onana could find him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, but Martial……..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Martial, TBF, has worked hard.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Has he though? I've put in more miles in going to the fridge and back in the first half.

Yes, he has.

I really hope Hojlund is our first attacking sub, rather than the Garnacho LW and Rashford upfront switch

Our players have done well so far, with the exception of Lindelof. Rashford hasn’t been involved in the action, to be sure, but when he received a good ball, he scored a brilliant goal. I seriously think ETH should consider McT as a Centre back.

Isn't in the squad today

I'm not sure what people expected really today. Missing two of the usual back four and also four midfielders not available either. If there is such a game to sit back and try to keep it tight and nick it on the break it's today.

If we were a bit more confident I wouldn't have been surprised to see Garnacho and Hojlund come on at HT but we are where we are at present. Just don't fall asleep at the start of the second half ffs!

It would be good if one of our midfielders was able to receive and actually turn and drive with the ball, or at least have a third man option so we have a better chance to progress when the ball goes into midfield.

To be fair this was our first choice midfield when playing our best football last season. Something else is going on at this club

Christian Eriksen has now provided more Premier League assists (75) than Thierry Henry (74).

Only 11 players in the competition’s history have more.

No changes at HT

Have to have Hulund and Rashford together. Hujlund is good at hounding the opposition and also bringiong the players around him into play. Bring him on now and let him make his mark

posted on 3/9/23

Hoijlund is going to suffer from a huge lack of service from Antony and Rashford, they barely create a chance for whoever plays up front.

More chance of Rashford making a goal out of nothing for himself than laying it on a plate for a CF.

We seem to be really physically weak on top of everything else.

Every time there's a coming together our player ends up on the floor.

Problem right there. We press and squeeze brilliantly, win the ball back… Casemiro plays a terrible pass into Martial & we lose the ball one pass after winning it back.

Just inexcusable to be so poor in possession.

So wasteful, stupid flicks from Antony.

Every pass we make is either the wrong weight or badly timed.
