risks without spending any money.....
So we hired Marsch because of his running stats and pressing stats.
Did anyone actually watch his teams?
Talking about Balsa's man marking as if he's a football strategy expert.
Look at a the stats as to when you make a managerial change.
FFS the game is played on the pitch, not on paper and everything being stats.
"A lot of the data work we've been doing this summer..."
Heres is my take........
Lots of personal back slapping trying to big past decisions up......
Heckingbottom is now a Premier League manager
Iraola is now a Premier League manager
Marsche kept us up.......(hmmm)
Took risks to make a steep trajectory into Europe (signing Marsche and players from 14th strongest league in Europe). Nobody was complaining at signing these players who were internationals and had played had good standard............errr yes Angus I and others were actually.
We couldnt afford Unai Emery.........yet we paid £9m a season for Bielsa and staff. Unai must be a very rich man then.
We are now only bringing in players from the top4 leagues under Farke. Since when was Swansea and Rangers playing in the top 4 leagues Angus??
Our data analytics are only "standard" and not competitive to Brentford/Brighton. What data analytics are needed to see Rasmus is just a shlte player Angus?
Surprised at players unwillingness to stay in the championship and players crawling on broken glass to get out........Not sure anyone else is surprised Angus - are you sure you know anything about the modern game?
Appears to be really happy at the fact we have only lost 2-3 players we wanted to keep, have saved £40m on wages and signed 9 new players. They wanted to retain the players because book value had reduced and still seem to think it will increase again. Angus accept the players are SHlT.
On loan causes - Radz was key driver but 49ers had visibility - just say it Angus. Marathe signed them all in his sleep.
They could have sold Sini for £20m but refused because they think he will be worth more. Lets hope his terrible injury record improves then!!!
Anthony was a target from the start of the window..............You have lied enough already Angus. Just shut up!!
If we dont go up this season there will be a fire sale in order to keep in with P&S.
One season shouldnt be seen as a terminal failure and lots of good work and foundations have been completed. Happy on one hand to say we are bigger than other clubs and should be promoted rather than sides like Luton Huddersfield but then on other is happy to put us in the 25% chance of relegation club.
One missing question at the end......
Angus, players have taken a 40-60% pay cut on relegation...........have you?
Thought part of it were fluffy. Rump steak nor sirloin. Missed opportunities to challenge some of his answers eg why couldnt we afford Unai? Why have we signed from SPL then etc. Seemed almost like the questions again were pre-set ones that Kinnear was expecting and then no challenging allowed.
Overall fascinating but not really as in-depth on some subjects that it could have been. Would like to have seen his balls squeezed more and far too friendly. Appreciate he came out and did the interview but not a single apology in the 1 hour 45 minutes despite saying in hindsight there were so many errors made that he would change if he could.
Just had a 5 minute rant with the Mrs.......

Let that sink in.
Hang on, llorentre was on £6m a year and we gave him a new contract 🤦
We turned down £20m for sinni and loan him out, with his injury record.
Leeds and kinnear have let this interview go out.
Seriously, WTF is going on.
Gobsmacked
Have just finished watching the whole interview.
(Btw, If you can’t be r’sed to watch it all, I can’t be r’sed to hear your opinions).
So I’m now sat reflecting on what I heard, trying to digest with two heads… my fan (emotional) head and my business (rational) head….
- There’s no way a fan head and a business head will ever reach the same conclusion. So ultimately your own reaction will be either emotional or based on cold facts.
- The guy has to be given credit for fronting this, whatever you think of him, putting yourself in up front to be shot at is something most people don’t do.
- Seems to me pretty clear that AR had insufficient understanding of what was required to succeed/survive in the Premier League, and clearly didn’t realise Orta wasn’t it. But whilst Kinnear was never gonna be that unprofessional to publicly throw Orta under the bus, he effectively did.
- money is driving everything…every single decision.. and AR was immediately out of his depth on promotion. He couldn’t afford to be there. It’s telling that AK mooted that emotion probably stopped AR selling after achieving 9th, whilst AR himself said (after selling this year) “My worst decisions have always been emotional ones”
- don’t think Dan Moylan shirked any key questions
So what does that interview leave you feeling, as opposed to if it hadn’t happened?
It was an attempt to explain. Some might understand those explanations, or find it helpful to be provided with information that might help to just look forward. Others with fixed minds won’t hear them.
Did get lots of “we just furk’ed up”. Tbf, I’d rather that, just holding their hands up, than weasel excuses.
Am concerned that character assassination of Adams/Sinistera leaves no way back for them. Fans might wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment, and most don’t want them back, but knowing the club feels that way just simply reduces any retained sale value.
Am also concerned that the intimation is that despite funds being available, the EFL finance rules are attempting to shackle those with the biggest wallets, which doesn’t do us any favours.
Was very amused with Kinnear’s 7 year old son effectively saying “just buy a f’ing left back!” 🤣
Ultimately, I enjoyed listening to the interview.
It just feels now as though it’s drawn a bit of a line in the sand, where it’s “we are where we are now. So off you go Farke. You got what you’ve got. Let’s see how you go”.
Effectively, that it. We now see whether we’ve got the right man in charge…. Or not.
Risks ...... yeah, signing a load of no marks from lower rabked leagues and hoping they're good enough. We didn't sign a left back or Bamford cover. Risk, more like death wish
Adams wont be coming back. He was sold permanently.

They wanted to retain the players because book value had reduced and still seem to think it will increase again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep.
A few of us on here did a comprehensive article on this a while back. I won’t go through it all again (it’s still here somewhere if you want to read the detail), but this is a massive, foolhardy, negligent (fraudulent?) risk and it will almost certainly come back to haunt the club in a very serious way.
The only way out is if the likes of Aaronson suddenly find they can actually play football and someone else wants to buy them for the value on our balance sheet. Yeah, right.
It’s a shocking interview really and confirms everything most Leeds have been saying over the last couple of years.
He kept on using the words “risk” and “pragmatic” - If I was to go back I’d more pragmatic etc - guy is full of sheet for me. Appalling way to run the club
Also Bielsa wanted the whole squad changed - he was proven right. Maybe if you didn’t spend £35m On a 21 year old that can’t kick a ball would have helped.
Credit to AK for doing the interview but if he thinks that’s gona make the fans any less pizzed off he’s mistaken. Kaants
Credit to AK fir doing the interview….
Does anything think he volunteered, anyone think he wanted to do it, his body language said exactly the opposite.
AK doing the interview gives paraag a chance to not have to face the music.
Saying players are 5/10 is fine….when they’re not on your books.
O’Leary did that in his book, quite unbelievable throwing existing players under bus. Makes even bigger problem for us in summer.
If this is how he speaks about staff in public what is it like in private. No wonder there are bullying issues at leeds, needs a cultural change.
And as kebab said, should have been asked if he took wage cut.

Two ways of looking at this;
Club stays quiet - most Leeds fans know why and live in the real world to know exactly the shambles they have created.
Club does interview - to basically confirm the above.
It’s shoddy management and some unbelievable strategic school boy errors.
That could have taken half the time, different body language and honesty from AK, fans will get it we can draw line and move on.
Nothing is resolved except heaping more incredulity on already unbelievable situation in knowing we could have raised funds from sales and screwed that up.
This hiding behing ffp and p&s is really worrying, we have massive revenues, huge wage savings, parachute payments but effectively being told we can’t spend/compete.
The bigger the lies the more of it sticks.
I love data, but you cannot base every decision on it, you have to understand the business and football itself and Kinnear simply does not.
You have one of greatest coaches in world, he tells you exactly what to and what do you do? You do something else and then suddenly you’re a football tactics expert and it’s all Bielsa’s fault because of man marking.
Echoes of Don Revie saying appoint Giles and they appointed Clough.
Kinnear is a non football man pretending to be a football man.
He was part of the problem, he still is.
This is where leaders show leadership, they show up, face the music, take responsibility.
49ers are spineless.
Struijk worth £20 million 🤣🤣🤣
I'll have a pint of what he's drinking.
