It's not just the sale. It's all the other scandals too. The club is just broken beyond repair in its current form. It's bleeding from every orifice
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Was there any other period in history that a club had this amount of scandalous involving players? I don't remember that many under SAF!
You certainly don't hear or read about many at other clubs, why us?!
What sort of culture is at this club?!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2 scandals. 1 might be nothing,
Liverpool, Newcastle, City, West Ham. Loads of clubs have had scandals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now combine that with the uncertainty Glazers have created, factor in a toxic culture within.
It's not a great breeding ground for anything positive, let alone good football. Footballers are sensitive souls, especially these days, if things are not perfect then you are not going to see winning footy.
Eth is culpable too. Everything combined is effectively the perfect storm!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you really think Rashford, Martial, a Sancho and co give a hoot who owns the club, then you are deluded.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You don't know how organisations work and how that impacts the employees. Playing staff are employees of Man Utd (an organization)

Let them carry on running with this Gary Neville gibberish. We have been diabolical for years. Picking up 200k a week why would they give a damn. But leave these folks to carry on with the kool aid and excuses.
A player like Welbeck, coming back to OT to tearing us apart. Laughable.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Our players do appear tactically naive. Maybe they are unclear what they need to do, I just don't know. I am baffled as to why basics are so difficult, running the extra mile is difficult. There are a number of complex factors operating at the club that merely blaming Eth is either too easy but definitely too lazy to pinpoint.
Brighton are a joy to watch, they lost so many players yet anyone who comes in just slots nicely into place. Every player knows their role, they have full awareness of their responsibilities but above all they operate cohesively as a team. They attack as one, defend as one, nothing flash, just simple effective footy.
Because of the template they operate no matter who manages them also fits in nicely, clearly they employee people with a certain style that closely aligns with the club's blueprint. The whole set up at that club is perfect. I doubt, like Potter, whether Di Zerbi would prosper elsewhere, I could be wrong.
What a bloody contrast between us and Brighton and they nearly folded back in the late 1990s. The club is also so active within their community, you can see why everyone loves them, even the neutrals adore them!
Brighton are the best example money alone is not enough, you need the right ownership with vision. The ownership then employees the best in class they can afford within their means to run the footballing side. They are clearly a selling club so recruitment is key, they rarely get it wrong!
Lamptey on a yellow very early and we don't capitalize for the rest of the game targeting him
OP, this a very sensible article. However, the problem with Rashford is not whether he is good or not. He is brilliant. The problem is seems to think that passing the ball to a teammate is something you do when there’s nothing else left to do.

Hardly. Spurs have regularly been that bad. They got 2 points more 2 years previously and a point less the year before that. Liverpool had a poor season, sure. But usually there are teams that do. 75 points, which was United's final tally, will usually get you top 3. Nothing out of the ordinary there.

The goals today were horrible from a defensive perspective in that they were all so similar. A player in acres of space on the edge of the box with time to pick his spot. They scored with their first three chances but they were all chances that they score in their sleep in training literally hundreds of time per week.

I doubt, like Potter, whether Di Zerbi would prosper elsewhere, I could be wrong.
posted on 16/9/23
What a bloody contrast between us and Brighton and they nearly folded back in the late 1990s. The club is also so active within their community, you can see why everyone loves them, even the neutrals adore them!
posted on 16/9/23
Brighton are the best example money alone is not enough, you need the right ownership with vision. The ownership then employees the best in class they can afford within their means to run the footballing side. They are clearly a selling club so recruitment is key, they rarely get it wrong!

OP, this a very sensible article. However, the problem with Rashford is not whether he is good or not. He is brilliant. The problem is seems to think that passing the ball to a teammate is something you do when there’s nothing else left to do.

Last season we finished third, won a trophy, reached the final of another. Was it fluke, no it wasn't.

I mean, yeah, kind of.
You literally couldnt have asked for a better draw of opponents in the Carling cup.
Liverpool and spurs being the worst they've been in quite some time also helped.

Hardly. Spurs have regularly been that bad. They got 2 points more 2 years previously and a point less the year before that. Liverpool had a poor season, sure. But usually there are teams that do. 75 points, which was United's final tally, will usually get you top 3. Nothing out of the ordinary there.
