Surprised about Varane and Amrabat, maybe not fit enough? did feel Mount might be a week or so longer but whoever travelled don't have high hopes
Maguire being scapegoated now. Disgrace
Bayern aren’t that good, bunch of snivelling pieces of Tory $hit
I know we've got injuries but it's still mental a club our size can take a squad that crap to play in the CL.
If Martinez pulls up with an injury, god damn, that's some back 4
It's at the back where the problems are. Without AWB, Varane and Shaw we look really weak.
Kane is gonna have a field day
Jonny Evans
A signing that made no sense other than his wife works at United
Could have promoted a youth player
We just need to summon the spirit of Paris, Tuchel’s head would explode if it happened to him again
Evans was an odd signing, do we really not have someone in our youth team who's better? He wasn't good enough for a relegated Leicester but he's good enough for us to take and rely on.
Our youth system isn’t the best as it is, but I think cb is a really weak position from what I can gather. But generally you’ll find it rare for cbs to come straight out of the youth teams into a premier league team, it’s not a position that people want to rely on youngsters for.
4 goalkeepers?
Is ETH hoping he can play 3 at once?
The pragmatic line up for tomorrow (because we'll lose anyway so we may as well not risk our main players getting injury)
Altay Bayindir
Diogo Dalot
Victor Lindelof
Jonny Evans
Sergio Reguilon
Scott McTominay,
Dan Gore
Hannibal.
Omari Forson.
Anthony Martial
Alejandro Garnacho,
Darren
Are you confident relying on Evans though?

Reguillon
Casemiro
Hannibal
McT
Pellistri

No, but I’d be more confident than relying on Will Fish.
Maybe, but he’d still look like a Fish out of water playing premier league football. Slow, old cbs with lots of prem experience are better than the vast majority of players that come through the youth system of a prem club. There’s a reason he’s played non league and Scottish league. Youth players are generally shiiiiiit, which is why they don’t play. They get overhyped too much by football fans just because youth.
But Evans is one of those players who's never instilled me with much confidence because he looks a nervous wreck half the time. I'm all for experience and technically he has that but he's often one of those players where you expect a mistake to happen any moment. I guess he got accused of r-ape once so fits into the squad well.
Really disappointed to hear about Amrabat's exclusion. We are getting battered if we don't take a pragmatic approach, we can't go toe to toe. Pride and reputation at stake here. We can't afford individual mistakes although the culprits who make them game after game always make the final cut!
Which is fine, and I’d rather have better. But if the question is around youth players then I’d rather have Evans. Evans isn’t even the issue here anyway, the reason we may have to rely on him is. Generally if you’re having to rely on your 5th choice cb you’re facked, and you need to question why that’s ended up the case.
