No one honestly believes Nketiah should have been sent off? Surely?

Dermot Gallagher seemed to. You probably know more about the rules of the game than him though....

I did think it was red card worthy, considering some of the reds we’ve seen VAR give.

Think he got lucky that he didn't make contact with he leading foot, which puts it more into the orange card category and creates some doubt for the ref. I thought it was reckless and out of control though so he was very lucky to stay on the pitch.

Did you go Teebs?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nah I live overseas now. Haven't been to a game in a while. You?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Share a ST so get to most home games. Not really away though so didn’t go yesterday

Should've been red on reflection. If Vic had made more of a meal of it maybe the ref pulls out a red.
It could've been horrific but ultimately there was no injury and I'm thankful for that.

I’m not sure soccer is the sport for alot of you. Either that or you have blinkers on. It was never a red, the referee didn’t think it was a red, the VAR team did not think it was a red, the PGMOL have no issued an apology so don’t deem it a red.

Bunch of softy southerners

Imagine if this kind of tackle went unpunished against a Varpool player, the mass media outpourings of injustice, whinging and whining would be going on all week

If you call it ‘soccer’ then it’s definitely not the game for you.

As a (gender) neutral I have to say the Americans seem more like men than the big girls of English "football".

Completely agree.

It was about as stonewall penalty as you're going to see under the current laws of the game.

Agree Nketiah should've seen red after his lunging foul which was far worse than what a Chelsea player was sent off for this weekend (the problem as usual is consistency).

A couple of weeks ago Luton were denied a handball penalty, not quite as blatant but very similar to ours today, as it was Luton I don't think it got mentioned anywhere though but again the refs are deciding games due to inconsistent decisions which were easy calls which is a shame.

Neither was the Harry Kane tackke against the Liverpool player a couple of seasons back. Ref made absolutely the correct decision back then.

Were you lot not bleating on for months about a similar tackle made by Kane on a Liverpool player?

Kane didn't make a similar tackle. He made a tackle with both feet off the ground, eventually landing his studs on Robertson's leg. It was an awful challenge. Robertson then got sent off in the same game for kicking a player too hard.

The Nketiah one was just late, the challenge itself wasn't that bad. Yellow for me.

Kane got a yellow, which was just about right. Robertson rightly red carded.

Ref got both decisions for once spot on.
