Don’t make bets if you’re going to cry and find excuses not to pay. Grow up.

THE BET IS STILL LIVE!!!!

The bet was that Liverpool would beat spurs TWICE this season. We could yet meet them in the FA CUP. Until that becomes an impossibility then nothing has changed
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It was obvious the bet meant twice in the league.

GB is refusing to pay on the basis of the offside decision. Even he isn’t claiming that the bet included non league games.

GB isn’t a proper Liverpool fan Sandy, he’s a plastic from Derbyshire who has never been to Anfield. Don’t let it bother you.

Bananas, I am not overly letting it bother me. I would have given the £20 to charity anyway. Just that GB always gobbling about his bets, then when he loses, he refuses to honour it.

At least Pranks honoured the bet I had with him.

Fair play to Pranks, he’s another massive plastic but at least he’s got the balls to honour his bets. GB is in his 50’s, bald and single In Derbyshire though so it doubt he’s got a pot to piisss in.

Send it to GB as he can’t seem to part with it, welching on a bet

Sandy you should have read the fine print. It's not GBs fault that you didn't. Liverpool can still beat Spurs twice this season so you'll have to wait until later in the season. I'm sure GB will honour it once it's impossible.

The problem is he won't. Je thought yesterday's result was unfair do he he doesn't need to pay. I would never agree a a bet on that principle

No thanks pal, I didn't have the bet with you. GB is tarnishing the good name of all Liverpool supporters, by his refusal to pay up.

I think the Liverpool fans backing him with excuses that it could now include cup games are even worse

Not even GB himself has used that one

DONT GIVE THE RATS A PENNY

Actually, I’d say the way that sandy and his cronies have ganged up on you I wouldn’t hold it against you to just cancel the whole thing. The cockney caaant has made a farce of this

There was a boy welched on a £100 bet with Fan on the Scottish boards. He never came back - that we know of - our boards are chock with returners that ‘forgot’ their original usernames.

Seems a decent compromise - welch then depart.

This is poor GB. Mistakes get made all the time by officials. It doesn’t change the result.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

hmm.. you've lost your own argument with that one..
the game finished 2-1 to spurs.... you agree?
pgmol officially recognised the disallowed goal should have stood.. you agree?

pgmol are the official arbiters of decisions. you agree?

so by definition.. barring any other changes..
the final, official 2-1 result should correctly be 2-2..
so the mistake has, officially, changed the result.

I’m not sure how you think I have contradicted myself. I acknowledged there were mistakes in yesterday’s game. The Diaz goal should have stood but the Udogie yellow wasn’t even a foul.

You state that the pgmol said the disallowed goal SHOULD have stood. The key word here being ‘should’.

The fact is the gold didn’t stand. Unless you think the pgmol have the authority to retrospectively change the result to 2-2 for a goal that ‘should’ have stood, my point stands.

posted on 1/10/23

yes. as you and pgmol both agree.. the goal should have stood..
and as you say, pgmol can't retrospectively allow that goal, so the game finished 2-1, not 2-2, thus the var mistake changed the result.

I also said the Gakpo goal wasn’t a foul in the build up. So even using your logic, that would substitute the Diaz ‘goal’ for the Gakpo one and the result stays at 2-1.
