Just making the point there is no reason to put more faith in Danilo than Lammers, as everything you said in Danilo’s favour also applies to Lammers. If not more so.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think you can see the type of player Danilo is. Hes a nimble mobile CF who looks like he just needs to settle and relax a bit. He seems a bit like Defoe but not as good.

I dont think Lammers looks remotely like a CF tbh. He looks like a number 10 to me. But a number 10 who doenst create or score goals. One who just floats about doing some nice but generally inconsequential stuff. Maybe he will surprise us all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I guess you agree with Beale as opposed to every other coach Lammers has had, at club level and at youth level internationally.

Or could just be that he’s played in various deeper positions so far, and that’s why he’s being seen as that type of player.

Both have it all to prove for me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I haven't followed his career to date as closely as you seem to have.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Fortunately it’s very very easy to simply look up such things in the space of a minute on that internet thing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have to say that that is one of the worst attempts at a sarcastic put down I've ever seen on here.

You certainly couldn't get any detail on all of the matches he has played in the space of a minute. You certainly couldn't be sure of what position he played.

You probably could get quite a lot of detail on the matches he actually scored in in around a minute. That might be possible.

I don't know why you're persistenting with this striker stuff. The guy is barely a footballer and never a striker.

if you had to rank rangers signings I would say

Butland - success
Dessers - success
cifuentes - massive signing, big success that one
Lammers - success
Sima - success
Danilo - success.

Obviously i'm talking from a celtic fans perspective, these guys have been great.

Smirk.

First of all, transfermarkt is just click bait for idiots. 'Centre-forward'!!

Secondly, in the unlikely event that their stats are accurate, it only proves one thing and makes your argument even more feeble.

So you suggested that data didn’t exist or wasn’t easily accessible, you’re now doubling down and saying it isn’t reliable??

You get all the data nerds on Twitter going through xA, xG, tackled attempted, dribbled past, passing percentiles etc, but you seem to thing what will be really difficult will be to gather the stats on what position someone’s played. Nice.

Even if you assume there are errors in the data set, quite clear from a one second look how his time at Rangers so far fits there.

Never mind Sam Lammers saying himself he’s always always been a striker.

There was me thinking Beale was an idiot, but clearly Celtic fans agree that it’s a stupid idea playing players in their actual positions.

i don't know so i'll ask, did he play as a striker in Italy?

if he did then thats probably why he isn't one anymore.

9 goals in 4 seasons suggests Lammers is at the wind up.

I see Rogic has announced his retirement today. He’s opened up on some personal stuff about him and his wife trying for a family, and he’s moving back to Australia.

Loved the big man. Some outstanding goals and great memories from him.

Beale is an idiot. I've said that from day one. It eas patently obvious.

Even an idiot can see that Lammers is not a striker.

I was right behind the goal that day. Was going to a birthday party that night.
Suffered about 90 minutes of the worst game of football I had ever seen and left a couple of minutes early to beat the traffic.
Had just got out of the stadium when I heard the roar.
Absolutely ragin! 🤣🤣

can't beat a last minute goal sometimes, this weekend was painful viewing for most of the match though and it shouldn't be overlooked.

i stand by my opinion, rodgers football is boring phish.

Indeed. Whilst the league table looks great, and suggests all is well, he’s still a long way from convincing me. Getting CCV and Nawrocki back will help in due course, but our attacking play still looks patchy at best. Just like first time around, BR’s also lucking out again being up against a far from stellar Rangers. Things could obviously be a lot worse though.

All the best to big Tam BTW. Classy footballer and scorer of many big goals, even if he was generally only good for 60 mins.

we were minutes, then seconds away from having to dissect that schite at the weekend. It was bloody awful.

so much goes to maeda like he is jota, then to bring on forrest was criminal.

I can't cope. Alex Rae has been working as a part-time hearse driver. Rangers have signed their assistant manager from the funeral directors.
