Who is going to provide Toney with the chances?
Rashford when on form is more of a goal getter than provider. Garnacho is the same as he always looks for the shot too where possible.
Pellestri Antony Sancho are a waste of space.
Toney would face the same problems as Hojlund. We needed to buy a few wingers who can actually cross the ball. Not only that but we need two new fullbacks who can create too. That's a huge issue for us. Dalot and Shaw are patchy at best in final third. Malacia n AWB are non events.
A striker won't help solve our issues. It's deeper rooted than that.

Toney works hard off the ball and can get involved with the play deeper and make runs that Bruno and his old mate Eriksen can pick out. We still need better options on the right but we also need a striker who we can rely on.
The top assisters in the Prem are usually a mix of FBs, CMs, and forwards.
In short, our whole team needs to do better.
Doesn't hurt to have a CF who knows how to put thr Hall in the net though, obviously.

Don't disagree.
I reckon Harry Kane would be a frustrated figure in this Utd team though.
ETH knew what he had with Rashford when he joined or at least he should have known. An explosive goal scorer on the left when on form.
So when he went into the market for a right winger.....he should have known Antony wasn't the right player. He's proven he's all about cutting in and shooting with his left foot similar to Rashy on the other side.
That's just bad management I'm afraid. He's set himself up for failure has Erik.

1 good season in 4 sort of player was what he was getting with Rashford.
It's quite possible that Osimhen moves in January, following the disgraceful (and racially overtoned) trolling of him by Napoli's social media team. I guess the only way we'd get involved in the bidding would be if a new owner were in place.
Rashford hasn't had 1 good season in 4 you absolute dimwit. Last season was over 40 goal contributions and 2 seasons ago he got over 30. 33 to be exact.
I told you to actually take up another sport. Football is lost on you.

Hopefully we have the pull and some funds set aside but as you say, might depend on new owners.
If we sell Sancho in Jan and Antony just doesn’t step up I’d hope we go for Jared Bowen at some point as he’s surely a great option for our right?

350k a week for playing FIFA and he's been a monumental flop.
He will leave on loan at best which does nothing for us. Unless the manager is sacked of course and he comes back into the fold.

Don't think he wants to go there. He knows he holds all the power. Players have too much of it these days.
He can sit out and refuse to go there and just take his wages.
It's an absolute shambles just like everything else at the club.
(1) I think people here underestimate the value that Antony provided. He'd stretch defenses by keeping fullbacks occupied. We're missing him.
(2) Sadly though, and despite his returning to training, I'm pretty sure he's not going to play another game for us.

Antony has scored 1 PL goal in 12 months. He finished the season last year with 1 PL assist and 3 in all competitions.
If we are missing him then we really are finished as a club.
Can’t see us getting a striker when we’ve spent so much on one already. But this was always the risk of spending so much on a very young and unproven striker. Ideally he would be eased in but we’ve put us in this position. I like what I’ve seen on Hojlund but he is also way off leading the line for such a big club.

We don't get the ball to the forward we've just signed. That's more of a problem.
We don't know if Hojlund is good enough until we start giving him 2/3 good chances a game.
As far as I can tell, our attacking problems seem to be that:
1) Rashy carried our attack for the majority of last season. This season, his form is terrible, he looks disinterested and not sharp like he was last year (fitness?).
2) Injuries. Have affected the entire squad (that had holes in to begin with), meaning lots of square pegs in round holes, making the whole team performance in general worse. Our squad lacks any real depth in quality beyond 13/14 players.
3) Hojlund. Said it when we signed him (just like I was against Onana), limited resources could and should be used way more efficiently. Either keep Dave, and go all out for Kane, or sign 5/6 £30m players to pad out and distribute throughout the squad that lacks depth and cohesion. No doubt Hojlund is a talent and will be a good long term acquisition, but spending £72m on potential rarely brings immediate returns, and hamstrings where you can further improve the team.
4) Sancho / Anthony / The United Circus. Don’t need to elaborate on this. As a result Pellistri is our starting RW. Enough said. Just what the actual f… Need rid of Sancho to anyone who will take him. More worrying concern to me is we are just year after year signing £70m players that we might as well just be setting the money on fire. Horrific recruitment for the obscene money paid for some of these players, will mean serious consequences for the club in the near future.
