It would be too bad/sad if Buttler were made scapegoat for this. Except Brook, rest all should be blamed along with Buttler. It’s not over yet though. Wood can play and so is Rashid.

You may well be right, not sure we've seen the last shock however. Also pretty presumptuous not to consider Pakistan. Aussies could be effectively eliminated this time tomorrow.

Australia will get through. They may peak at right time and get it going. The top 3 now have to carry the momentum for 30+ days. Not easy. Pakistan have a poor captain, similar to Australia. Also, this current Pakistan team appears to be the weakest besides the warrior Rizwan. Terrific player he is. He alone can’t carry whole team.

Imo too big an ask for this England team. Australia can at least take comfort that their two losses were agst India and SA.
Definitely think people are overreacting to this loss. Yes they lost a game they should have won, but it's a long tournament and there is a long way to go. England are still the holders of the World Cup and one upset doesn't make them a bad team overnight.

It's not just the loss its the performances.I trust our batting to improve but the balance of the teams is not good enough and the bowling not good enough towin a WC.
If you compare this England team to the 2019 England team there are clear deficiencies with this team and I dont think they are good enough to recover the way the 2019 team did.
