Elton was wrong. Sorry Seems To Be The EASIEST Word.
After the VAR decision on the big screen they should just have an apology ready to come up straight away after the ref blows for play to continue. Why wait till after the game? Apologise to the fans straight away when the mistake has been realised.

Proud of that one aren't you.
Racist abuses is such a weird reaction to losing a game.
When you literally have nothing else.

True
Philspur.
Not proud of it but it is true. Some people think that it's OK to act badly as long as they say sorry afterwards, like little kids.
will just be emotional scousers scousering <dunno>
Bunch of bells. Hopefully they can be identified and punished.
Twitter is the modern equivalent of the old gents toilet wall. Covered in infantile graffiti of male genitalia and idiotic comments. The only difference is that Twitter doesn't smell as bad. No-one should take it too serious if you ask me. Celebrities and politicians that get all upset should stop using it to further their careers and log the f@ck off.
Having said that, racism is an evil and should be dealt with wherever possible.

If the guy who racistly abused him says sorry then that should be the end of it. I mean, he should be allowed to do it again, but again just if he says sorry after. Should be able to murder the guy's family. Just as long as he says sorry after.

Not sure what point you are making here.

I think he’s trying to conflate racism with a refereeing mistake, which makes him look incredibly dense
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What is the deterrent to corruption if their only consequence is that they have to say sorry after? Someone gives the ref a million pounds to fix something, he is rather likely to take it if the only consequence to them is having to say sorry, where as the consequence for the team affected could be huge.
Merely highlighting how ridiculous it is that they keep getting to just say sorry after what could be massive corruption.
It wouldn't deter a racist if they just had to keep saying sorry. Ban for life.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Where is the evidence for corruption? Please explain.

Spurs won. Case closed.

I hope the small matter of racist abuse doesn’t distract from the much larger issue of referees making mistakes
