Onana has clearly been told to kick it longer.

So he’s basically de Gea without the fundamentals of being a goalkeeper now

I can only go with what I'm seeing. He's still calmer on the ball than De Gea but he kicked loads long last night.

Yes, at times we were all over the place of course. All I'm saying is if we win that game 3-2 (that block on Garnacho's shot could have gone in) nobody could have said we didn't deserve something out of the game. It's very frustrating even though it was an entertaining game.

That will be one of the easiest games we will get this season. A confident attack would have scored at will. The concentration just isn’t there, isn’t not a coincidence we conceded straight after every goal we score. It’s very odd to watch.

In midfield we were decent, in the final third Hoijlund was fantastic, the rest not so much, in our own third we were comical.

We did a good job of controlling the game, limiting Galatasaray to mostly route one football and we built some good pressure. There was a period after half time we looked fantastic.

Shame Dalot, Lindelof, Onana and Amrabat (in defence anyway) were embarrassingly bad. And whilst Verane wasn't directly at fault he didn't look himself either.

However, I didn't think we were all that terrible last night.

I watched the first 20 minutes or so. I thought Galatasaray looked pretty poor. Didn't see the result till this morning. How the feck did United manage that?

Hojlund was the obvious massive plus point from last night... He really did look like the kind of striker we have lacked for a long time.. Strong, powerful, good finishing, but also could take the ball and move it on with ease.

I'd probably play Rashers on the right, while he works on his form... His assist showed that he is capable of affecting the game, and we should be able to interchange.

Bruno is the big headache, for me... He's a classy player, but when he's out of form, he's ineffective at best. I'd probably do the same as you and play Casemiro, Amrabat and Mount until we start getting our defence back... With Bruno coming on if we need more attacking options. Not gonna happen though

We looked pretty good with the ball and dangerous. Probably our best attacking performance of the season so far.

The problem is we are defending like a pub team every week. Some of that down to injuries and some down to just god damn awful individual errors.

In hindsight..... (l know)

Cass should have let Gala score rather bring the guy down. The momentum of the game was with United and the stadium was rocking. With 11 men we would have could have might have got a couple more and even won or drawn the game. With 10 men it was hopless.

What a player Hojland looks though.

Hojlund looks a player for you but man that defense is poverty

Put Shaw Martinez n AWB in there and it's fine defensively. AWB doesn't give us much in attack but he can defend and his recoveries are vital for us.

Our replacements are poverty

I think a huge issue is how mentally weak we seem to be, it's been an issue for many years. I think the state of the club, the issues with players like Greenwood, Antony, Sancho, Slabhead and the pressures for such a huge club are all factors.

I think it was an area EtH felt needed addressing when he joined which is why he brought in players such as Casemiro and Martinez but like with previous managers as soon as the honeymoon period is over we seem to revert back to being little p-ssies that can't handle any pressure at all. I'm not really sure what can be done because I do feel the club are rotten to the core and it'll take a lot fo things to change before we can see long lasting improvements.

Aye said on the tranny thread he looks a good player, huge improvement for them in that position over the years too. Also think Chelseas jackson is a good player too, just needs to work on end product everything else is there. Even without the goals though players like Hojlund and Jackson bring a lot to the team.

He was poor against Bayern but when he moved to the right he looked a lot better.

Tell him to get down the wing a put a ball ball in.

Shaws a huge miss, probably been arguably your best player over the last few years.

Thought AWB has improved in possession this year tbh, he's never going to be creating a tonne of chances, but what does Dalot really offer us in possession? He looks better, but he's ineffective.

Fair point, replace 3 of the back 4 last night and it might have been a different result? we do miss Shaw and AWB at FB and also Martinez for a bit solidity, having them back would also allow us to have a look at Armbat in CM, a fair amount of "if's and but's" in what I said but still.......

I dunno, the preferred defence played when we conceded goals for fun in Europe last season.

It doesn’t matter who plays for us on the pitch, for some reason we have a real issue with switching off at the worst times.

I felt that but with the up's and down's we have had this year my confidence is burst, it will be good to have all positions as first choice and injury free(if that ever happens) and let us see what we can do then?

I'd have Rashford on the right over Antony or Pellestri personally any day.

The cross he put in against Bayern for Garnacho from the right was better than anything I have seen Antony do in 12 months and again last night a decent assist.

Rashford simply has to play because the alternatives aren't very good.
