Quite a unique character as footballers of his ability & style go. Didn't give af about being the best version of himself, but wasn't a c*nt either. Immensely refreshing.

Hazard always had weight and fitness problems at the beginning of every season but English training and the intensity of the premier League kept him fit. At Madrid he was never able to rediscover his form due to constant fitness issues and lack of game time. As a Chelsea supporter and as a football fan, I wish he had stayed and continued to develop as a player. One 9f the best.

Hazard had as many bad seasons as good tbh. An incredible player to watch at his best and a real entertainer but people conveniently don’t talk about all that bad that came with him for some reason

He only had one bad season with us, the Mourinho disaster szn

I think it was pretty obvious due to his early nation Belgium team shenanigans (lack of discipline in training, overweight, etc) that he wouldn't have a long career at the top due to not taking as good care of his body as you can. A bit like Rooney, but Hazard obviously had a more frail body.
But if you compare him to Neymar and Robben who were equally 'blessed' with injuryproneness, they had a much bigger winner mentality and more hunger for (national and personal) succes which made all the difference as I think Hazard had just as much natural talent as them if not more.

Great player , loved watching him play when he was on it …had the lot

Was gutted when Chelsea did us twice that season , winning the champs league and denying us a place and followed with hazard joining Chelsea and not us which reports said we had him if we qualified …..turned out it wasn’t just champs league Chelsea got over us but Hazard too

Considering he’d been performing at a high level 5 years prior to Salah, 3 years prior to KDB & 2 years prior to Kane helps when we talk about the whole decade.

Hazard was the best player in the PL 14/15 & 16/17 (when he was robbed by Kante cos Kante missed out the year before). Salah and KDB only rightfully won it once and Kane was the best player in the PL when the decade had finished.

And (similar to Kane this decade) he put in these ridiculous seasons under negative managers where he was the whole attack.

You said last decade. That means the last ten years. So 2013-2023. I stand by it. He was one of the better players in the league definitely but I don't think consistently the best

He was, though. Which was strange as Hazard was such a good big game player domestically, but didn’t really show up in the CL.

He was inconsistent, but you cannot rationally doubt his ability and talent.

To suggest is disingenuous tbf.

For Cfc he was sublime , he had periods where he was not on it, but the majority of footballers do experience this.
