Robbing is clearly far too intelligent to be working at a supermarket pushing trolleys or stacking shelves. You can even see from the way he comes across on the internet that he is highly skilled. I think he therefore works in the internet shopping branch of supermarkets, where he goes around collecting the online shopping orders from the store. He has clearly demonstrated that he has proficient internet skills on here to do so.

Is that not the worst possible time you could take 4 day weeks in the supermarket business? No wonder I can never get a turkey in November. Trolleys scattered all of the road into Asda.

Where the fvck are you that you have sun?!

I work from home, have unlimited annual leave and the only time I can’t work from home I’m travelling to different cities all over Europe and North America.

I’d feel very free if I didn’t have a 2 month old!

I have taken long weekends every weekend since March. If the weather isn't good on the Friday I'll just take a different day during the week when it is nicer. I have had a mini holiday every week for half the year. This year (starting October) I have bought an extra 2 weeks of holiday so can be away on long weekends for most of the year. Much better than a 2 week holiday once a year where you sit around doing things you think you are meant to do on holiday, instead of enjoying yourself. Also I probably don't have any kids, which helps.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So basically you've got no cant willing to go on a long holiday with you.

I go with whoever is free over those days, last minute. If not can meet people across the country who want to do things. Also travelling solo is often the best way to do it. I have many a good story to tell. Which I won't.

You and I are old enough to remember women's liberation. Burning bras! Huh, backfired as guys just ogled them all the more. Think they just burned the old ones that the lace had ripped, the wire had bent or the 'white' one that had been through the wash with the jeans one too many.

FFS remember 70s jeans before pre-washing was a thing? Go out in the rain in your new Wranglers and your legs were blue for a month!

It’s crazy to me how often you all use public transport over there. I don’t think I would ever want to be in a position where I am commuting the entire time via train. But that’s just me.

Anyway, in my job, there is a certain level of “liberation” I can experience as my manager has always been flexible to schedule changes, time off, or anything that requires immediate attention. All he ever asks of his team is transparency and targets are being met which is pretty straightforward.

For example, the company has allowed all employees to work from home except for five days a month. The employees get to choose which week they want to come into the office. This week was my week, but my four year old got sick with Strep so I’ve been able to work from home this week and my boss approved me being able to switch my days to next week.

Unfortunately not all managers are the same and I know instances where other employees were denied because their manager acts more warlord than manager.

I suppose that is the good thing about America. As you were saying not everyone is lucky enough to have such a good manager, but the good thing is that they do have the freedom to shoot their manager if they want.

In India they cremated your wife as well when you died.

Great deterrent for gold diggers.

Redundancy. Thought it was never going to happen, been 10 years since the last and needed the bank boost.
