Would be nice if it Clement - I've been working on headlines.
He celebrates with the fans - Oranges & Clements
He fails miserably - Clement Fraud
Clement : Pros
Did an excellent job with Genk who were not fancied to win the title at all usually a mid table team and beat the usual champs Brugge. that then in got him the Brugge job and he won the league the following to years.
Has a record of building teams despite losing a lot of his best players he delivered.
His teams tend to be attacking and score plenty of goals.
Cons: Brugge despite being one of the biggest teams in Belgium still dont carry the same pressures as Rangers. Worried that his slower possession based football might struggle to deal with the camped in teams. Seems to work best with a DOF, he seems very much like a coach who works with the players he has rather than singling out the players he wants.
Muscat: Pros:
He likes to play fast paced attacking football that tends to work better against packed defences. Has that no nonsense aura about him.
Cons: hasnt managed at this level before (breifly did and failed massively). If Ange hadnt been so successful we wouldnt be looking at him IMO. Has little experience of building his own teams, he has twice taken over Ange's teams and continued what he set up.
Out the shortlist we have been served Clement was always my choice.
Frank Lampard for me chief.

When Celtic win the Double 'Clementime's up'
I'm just glad it's not Frank (I think he probably was the front runner but the club were taken back by the overwhelming negative reaction) or McInnes.
I'd say both seem like decent appointments but given the money we have chucked away and therefore unlikely to be a big transfer kitty I'd say the current squad would struggle with Muscat's style so job is more suited to Clement

Meh - players respond to positivity and most want to play an attacking game. The mentality change with clear approaches and philosophy could refresh things almost instantly so I wouldn't write them off completely. Still an uphill to be fair.
Doesn't really matter. Either of them would be capable of maintaining their position as the second team in the country and delivering an occasional trophy.
Best plan would be to go for the cheaper option as the result will be the same either way.

Part of me does wonder if he has just been unlucky with basket case clubs. Chelsea look to be a manager death sentence for a bit and Everton are a bit of a shambles.
clement is clearly a poor manager given his record at monaco.
lost like 67% of his games.

With Rangers shortlisting anyone with a bald head and tight beard (ooh err), surely Jason Statham is in with a shout?
Knows his diving 👍🏼

🤣🤣🤣 he'll let you out that net in the morning.
If clement plays slow, I'll take Muscat. Fvcking sick of watching us slowly shuffling the ball about outside the opponent's box hoping they fall asleep so we can walk it in.
Most interesting thing for me in all this is "The Board are split"........hence the lack of clarity. Nobody has blown the opposition out of the water during the interview process and paralysis is the result
I remember before Ange was appointed and after DD had met him he made a comment along the lines of "We don't need to interview anybody else". On the debit side was the Howe fvck up and the time wasted before he backed out. Lessons learned I hope
Clement feels like a GvB type of appointment, football will probably be quite similar.
Muscat you're hoping for the Ange bounce
if I was a Rangers fan I'd try and get someone in, in the short term and assess again in the summer, I think that squad could get another manager the bullet before the summer
