Away again? Have we asked for all our games to be away as we can’t win at home. Will it even go ahead?

The talk is that the pitch should be OK so the only issue would be if the roads nearby were flooded which should not be the case. The ground is a couple of miles out of town and the same distance from the Severn, aswell as being on higher ground. The Rea Brook is nearer and that can rarely flood one of the roads between the ground and the town but I wouldn;t think that would cause a postponement.

An absolute hero to be driving back through those treacherous conditions for the match thread View. 👍 Applaud your commitment.

I think we played Cheltenham in the league after Blackpool and Notts County in the cup.

If it helps it is both, very confusing I know but we're a four man defence and a three man defence.

Evening and a good weekend to all!

Just driven from mid Wales to home.

I would have normally got home about 16:30, but didn't arrive until 19:30, and at one point seriously considered booking into a hotel/b&b it was so bad. Worst non winter journey I've ever made.

My route took me through Shrewsbury, the water under one railway bridge in the north was almost level with the bottom of the parapets!

It's really not safe to be driving anywhere in that area.

Not sure where that would have been Scouse but I don't think many if any roads are currnently closed. Flash-flooding was a problem this morning around the county. When the Severn overflows its banks it affects the town centre although now there are flood defences in place it tends to divert it further south towards Ironbridge. I think there a quite a few B roads that have had water and if one car gets stuck that snarls it up with knock-on effects elsewhere.

When the Severn gets very high it does flood the outside section of the Boathouse which may affect our traditional rendezvous, Scouse. Hoever I have stopped going there for my regular end of week pint on a Friday evening, on account of the fact that they do not look after their pipes properly. You regularly get a pint that is not quite right. The Armoury across the river is far better.

Anyroad, there's a Welshman an Irishman and a Scotsman in a bar........

There's normally an Englishman too, but he's in Paris at the Rugby World Cup.

Don’t worry he’ll be back in the bar by Monday.

Just driven from Shrewsbury to Loughborough and back. All roads completely clear. Bits of blue sky in Shropshire now.
