Does he deserve a statue

In being part of a great United side, winning a European Cup and a Balon D'or, he has matched the on field achievements of the holy Trinity (longevity aside) but yeah, I agree that he isn't loved enough to be honoured with a trophy.

Statue

And don’t forget the first time he wanted away… he actually claimed he was being treated as a slave, as he pushed for the move.
But we didn’t want to hear that, cos he was at that point the best in the world.
The man, who is to be respected for what he’s done in the game, has to wait a bloody long time to get such an honour.

We’ve got one of a wife beater so why not one of an alleged abuser?

Fellaini deserves a statue more

Cant blame him for leaving TBF. He went to one of the best sides ever and has the trophies to back the move up.

Neither do I… we always knew he wanted to go Madrid.
He was honest about that. But there was no need to throw SAF and UTD under the bus.
But we let that slide…. Then he comes back years later, and does that Interview. Nah Fam, no matter how the media or Piers Morgan try to spin it, I’m on Ten Hags side.
He was finished or he just downed tools, so he had to go. Why no other elite club came in for him?
Remarkable athlete, player. But we keep it moving..
UTD will never die.

The "Holy Trinity" statues are enough and fitting. We have enough other statues on the pitch.

a statue for three years? yes but paper mache.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

6 years. 3 of which he was world class, winning everything, including a Balon D'or, and has since proven himself one of the best players EVER.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I meant 3 good years, what he did at Real doesn't get a statue in Manchester.

What is the criteria for a player to get a Trophy then?

Personally I think if anyone else deserves one, it would be Ronaldo.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Besides being great, they have to love the club, to be one of us. And how many statues are enough.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think he did / does love the club.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He only loves himself

CR7 is not even a United legend IMO...

Statue? Are you crazy?

Personally, I would make a statement and make a statue of every player Alex Ferguson managed, akin to the Terracotta Army.

Let's take are club back, Barry being the Shi Huang Di

In fact, maybe the Babes are the Terracotta Army and Dunc Edwards is Barry.

Probably should have a statue of him outside the Bernabau, would be regarded as a Madrid legend, certainly not a United legend

Yeah. They were competing with a top Barca side, that had Ronaldinho, Xavi, Iniesta, Henry.

1 of those players was gone before Barca well before Ronaldo joined RM, another had 1 season crossover.

You do talk some absolute nonsense.
