Israel/Palestine aside and solely on your comments about Ange, and I mean this with love:

You’re not welcome.

Although tbf Rodgers does seem to have his team clicking now. If only he’d shut up all of the time.

Respect to all Celtic fans for last night but calling for Solomon to be banned because he is supporting his country in a time of war is rat behaviour.

This is what annoys me though. Israel is a zionist, apartheid state. Calling that out is not anti-semetism, no matter how hard the media try that angle (lets also ignore the whole fact that semetic people also includes the Palestinians). That angle is there so that people can’t criticise Israel (as most media is owned by Zionists), but you see many many Jews calling out Israel and are shouting free Palestine.

When Britain does f’d up stuff, I expect decent British citizens to call it out. So just because you are Jewish (or even Israeli citizen), you should be calling it how it is. And that goes for Jewish spurs fans too.

@luka, with respect, shut up man.

"The club no longer has a greater Jewish contingent among its fans than other major London clubs (Jewish supporters are estimated to form at most 5% of its fanbase)"

Maybe I shouldn't be surprised at your need to label a club with a religion?

With respect I hope Solomon continues to post stories on his IG account. Hamas need to be rid of and I am glad he is reminding people like you, what they did on that fateful day.

If you can't take it, unfollow him. There's a good Karen.

Would think most Brits aren’t religious these days and most clubs have outgrown their roots, but clearly they still sing songs related to being a Jewish club. So would assume they have sympathy for Jewish civilians who have also been massacred, as well as the innocents on the Palestine side.

Don’t see being associated with a religion as a negative myself.

@luka

Why would I follow a zionist in the first place? Are u one of those guys that follow every single spurs player 🤣.

But perhaps people like you should look into everything Israel have done, and continue to do, rather than focussing on that one specific day of the last 75 years. You have the cheek to call me a Karen 😂😂😂

yes we need to differentiate from the hamas / palestinians but seeing all the flags must still sting a bit regardless.

Yes that may be hard, however at least those players should be able to have some empathy now, and they should also realise what their state is doing as an oppressive occupier.

Spurs fans can speak for this but my understanding is that the songs are ironic in the face of opposing fans bigoted singing. Much as a minority of our own fans like to use feni@n in the same way.

Religion has no place in sport particularly when it has next to no place in general society.

i don't think anyone is asking them to do that, nobody is in support of Hamas.

bombing children though, how can anyone think thats alright.

you would need to be a fvcking animal to justify that.

And given their awareness of such bigotry, don’t see it as a stretch to assume they have sympathy for Israeli civilians and that there are two sides to this.

I doubt either of us has the knowledge to assume anything about what the 'man in the WHL stand' thinks? I also doubt it is hugely different to any other football support especially given the modern day demographic that was quoted.

OP has lost it here

Atrocities on both sides here but if you walked into the back yard of a well armed powerful enemy and blow away hundreds of innocent people, can you guess what the retribution will be?

While I am not condoning the excessive force of Israel, I cannot blame them for seeking to wipeout Hamas, who will, in classic terrorist style, be hiding among normal people, willing to use their own as a human shield.

Israels lack of care for the collateral damage is heartless and brutal but the brutality of the attack that started this latest escalation matches it. They went there to target innocent people. Israel are targeting Hamas and killing civilians as a consequence.

Some people will of course pick a side but observers cannot take any moral high ground about who is right and who is wrong. They are both fecking inhumane trapped in a cycle of killing each other.

Let's be honest, Celtic supporting Palestine has little to do with the Middle East and a lot to do with Ireland.

***********************************************************

You do realise that this so called back yard was land that belonged to the Palestinian people

So to make your analogy a bit more accurate the had their land stolen from them by the powerful west. The new people who live there continued to take more and more land from them and took over all of the major routes in and out

What was once their own backyard they are now not allowed to go.

Not one person I have seen is defending Hamas, however to say that Israel has done nothing is absolutely ludicrous - you only need to look at maps of the Israel/ Palestine land share from before 1947 until now to see what has been happening - I don't recall you posting anything about that being a problem?

The equivalent of what we are seeing now is if the British Army in Northern Ireland in retaliation to Irish Republican Army (the initials are banned on here) attacks just decided to entirely wipe out and kill every Catholic community, block their routes in and out, cut their power and water supplies - I can't imagine you are justifying that because of the 1RA so why is are you justifying what Israel is doing now?

Why is it acceptable for Ukraine to fight back against Russia taking Ukrainian land but Paletine should just shut up and accept their fate?

And a lot to do with wee phannies trying to be edgy to GIRFUY the establishment. Not sure why other similarly oppressed minorities have not yet featured but then most of them are not old enough to have read far less understand a history book.

Correct. Celtic was born out of famine and oppression. It is a club who's values have always been on the side of the oppressed and persecuted

Celtic fans support of the Palestine people goes back many many years, it isn't a new thing based on recent events
