He has been world class for years, scorer of goals and even more so creator of them too.
Top top top player..now hes left spurs
Sorry OP but he would have flopped at United just like
Falcao
Di Maria
Pogba
Sancho
Etc etc
The environment is too toxic at the club that even a semi prime Ronaldo looked average 80% of the time.
Very glad United didn’t “break the bank” imagine with all that’s going on already they’d have a 150m plus player not performing to top it all off.
We would be the only club capable of ruining Kane and Bellingham
Kane is unquestionably the best striker England has ever produced, his numbers for club(s) and country are elite.
Just seen this on Guardian live feed:
GOAL! Barcelona 1-1 Real Madrid (Bellingham 68)
Yeah, he’s something else. Bellingham picks the ball up, around 30 yards away, and just smashes it past the keeper. Staggering goal, staggering footballer.
I'm pretty sure the service he gets at Munich would far outweigh any he would receive at Utd, he'd be basically swapping last yrs Spurs for this yrs Utd, Kane and Spurs have moved on
If Kane could score for fun at Spurs last season when we were awful, I'm sure he could do it for United.

No, Pele was class on the world stage and the South American leagues were much better back then. The vast majority of Greaves England goals came in the annual home nations matches and the standard of English league football back then just wasn’t very good outside of a few top clubs - the rest were barely National League level by todays standards. That isn’t to say Greaves wasn’t a great player, he was one of the best of his era, but the poverty of the large percent of opposition gives him very flattering numbers.

Now that is total bollox. You never saw it, so stop pontificating on stuff you didn't see. Football in England was ultra competitive when Greaves played. 11 different Champions and 13 different cup winners during Greaves career. So sorry Ace, Greaves era was ultra competitive.

The problem is that you criticise people for not fawning to the greats of 50 years ago whilst largely dismissing modern football and its players. You’re a hypocrite because you do the same in reverse. And your attitude is similar to what most people have with music - eulogise about their own era and claim everything else is just a racket.
Harry Kane is England and Tottenhams all time greatest goal scorer, Greavsie isn’t. You’ll just have to suck it up.

Less league goals, so he isn't Spurs greatest ever league goalscorer.
And anyway Greaves is still the greatest ever English striker in the top division with 365 goals. That's the only stat that really matters.

As great a strike as it was I actually think the keeper quit on it

Kane is unquestionably the best striker England has ever produced, his numbers for club(s) and country are elite.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Apart from Jimmy Greaves. Oh and Dixie Dean.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s better than them Sandy, get real. He’s an elite athlete, not a beer swilling pie eater who scores all his goals against other beer swilling pie eaters.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ace, you really do not like football that you didn't see. Are you seriously telling me Pele was beer swiling pie eater?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, Pele was class on the world stage and the South American leagues were much better back then.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that is total bollox. You never saw it, so stop pontificating on stuff you didn't see. Football in England was ultra competitive when Greaves played. 11 different Champions and 13 different cup winners during Greaves career. Compared to a couple of financially doped clubs hoovering up all the trophies in the most boring and uncompetitive era in British football during the Kane era. So sorry Ace, Greaves era was ultra competitive.

To be fair it's difficult to compare eras. That was all the rage back then and if Kane was around in that era he'd be a pie eating, cigar smoking footballer too. Likewise maybe Greaves in this era would be the consummate professional.
I'm happy just to say Kane is the best English striker of this era, or at least the last 30-40 years.

Fair enough comment. Ace just won't have any footballer from back in the day. To compare the old 1st Division to the National league is a big insult.

They are greats of different eras. I wouldn't like to say one is better than the other, unless Kane puts it beyond doubt.

Less league goals, so he isn't Spurs greatest ever league goalscorer.
And anyway Greaves is still the greatest ever English striker in the top division with 365 goals. That's the only stat that really matters.

You won’t have any player of the modern era. It works both ways. If you were to stop being such a contrarian you might find the flow of conversations a bit easier.

As great a strike as it was I actually think the keeper quit on it
