23pts from 11 games since we got our squad together which is a 96pt season and thats without a right and left back, just a matter of when we hit top 2 if it’s march so be it,
Does anyone notice how it takes Summerville a longtime to get off when he’s substituted is it because he never can say goodbye?

To beat a side 7 or 8 I think you usually have to be no more than 3 nil up at HT because psychologically at 4 nil the game is almost certainly done and players probably do take their foot off the gas and once you do that the intensity drops and it's very difficult to get it back up.
At 3 nil at ht I think the team would still be pressing for the 4th and once you get that the intensity carries on like an itch you can't stop scratching you wanna keep pressing forward to score more goals.
Anyway with Stoke winning away at Boro it just shows they are no mugs so at least we know we lost to a half decent championship outfit even though we shouldn't have done ....and look at Cardiff right up there who many wrote off as bottom 6 when we only drew with them.
Sadly I have to agree that Cooper Ayling and Bamford make us look worse and I would prefer Cresswell, Shacks when Spence returns and Joseph to be utilised more as subs....Meslier was at fault for their goal and I don't like the way he daudles about with the ball but he keeps his place for now.
Regarding Stoke beating Middlesbrough, how many times does a team who have beaten Leeds, when not expected to, go on a winning streak. Take Southampton who were sliding down the table, they beat us and haven’t looked back since - only one point and place behind us.

Yep, agree 100% that we tend to be the most charitable team around when it comes to teams that haven’t won in ages … can’t score … have no confidence … they play us and we make them go on a Brazil-esque streakπ
I've got to say as bad as we were against Stoke they did look a typical championship, no nonsense, strong, stop the opposition playing outfit that does you on a set piece.
Tony Pulis would be very proud of their style so I'm not totally surprised they beat Boro aswell as Sunderland who are more free flowing footballing sides like Leeds.
Having sung Stoke's praises though I wouldn't want a season ticket to watch them every other week as Wednesday night was one of the ugliest games I can remember involving Leeds.

Perhaps, but will the answers you seek ever be found at Elland Road?
Great first half performance. Some scintillating play from the forwards players. A great team effort against a side that would have been desperate to win in their fans cup final. Its not uncommon for teams to drop off in the second half and it was enjoyable to be able to relax with the knowledge we had further staked our claims for top-6 and put pressure on the top-2 before the 3pm kick offs.
The negatives on the day were the Leeds United fans
1) Booing Patrick Bamford. Vast majority didnt but certainly a few hundred if not thousand did. Great to hear the immediate support for Bamford straight after.
2) We had just beaten our local rivals 4-1 and played our best 45 minutes this season. At the end of the game the players were clapping to an almost empty stadium. Loads left before the final whistle. Loads immediately on the whistle. There should have been 30,000 fans giving them a rousing level of support to carry us onto the next game. Where do people rush off to? Save 30 minutes in traffic or create memories inside Elland Road. Just dont get it. We expect so much from players and cant even stay around to support the team!
Its onlyagame, Steross, marvellous stuff, I drop them in every game and the other half goes mad,
Was on court all day so didn’t see the match to share any thoughts from
Cooper calls are just silly. Rusty when he came on, but settled into the game. Always going to happen when bringing on a CB whose had no meaningful warmup. Still comfortably good enough to have a place in the squad, and as much as it upsets people, having leadership and experience is important.
Not really fussed by the second half. Can't really believe people around me grumbling with us 4-1 up.

100% agree that Coops is still worthy of a place in the squadπ (btw, not seen people bad mouthing his leadership/experience but maybe I’ve missed it?).
Liam Cooper? A wise old head, always a zillion percent committed - he can still do a job for us at the back - but there's no way I'd pick him ahead of Rodon.
What an absolute PLEASURE it was to go in 4-0 up at half time - it's been a very long time since that last happened.
Many including me have been waiting for us to really annihilate somebody and it was really looking like it was on yesterday at HT - how long has it been since we did that? Therefore it's natural that folks were a bit disappointed with the final score - not only did we fail to score but also allowed them to grab a consolation.
Third, we'll struggle to hold on to Summerville and Rutter unless we go up this season. Their potential is clearly beyond Championship level.
Fourth, I really really don't want to see Bamford in a Leeds shirt again. He's a good player but his time with us is now done. He deserves a fresh start elsewhere - we should offload him in January.
Fifth, I'm a bit concerned about Piroe. Being invisible only works if you're scoring regularly.
Sixth, Kamara is becoming as essential as Ampadu - we play better when he's on the pitch.
Seventh, well done to Dan James. He's clearly a total professional, now giving us 100% after being treated appallingly by the club in the past - and now creating chances and scoring goals. Great to see.

Yes and no but sorry guys can you not see that when Rodon is not playing, Cooper and Struiyk paired together at the back which DF has done at least a couple of times is a very bad fit? It brings out the worst in Struiyk as he is shoe-horned to the right side to accommodate Cooper.
Struiyk has been playing his best football and should not be moved to his weaker side when Rodon doesn't play so that is why I'm against Cooper coming on in those circumstances. It should be Cresswell as right CB to replace Roden and not Cooper.
It annoys me that Farke doesn't have Cresswell on the bench to cover the possibility of Rodon needing replacing instead of reshuffling and unbalancing the defence to accommodate Cooper who okay if Struiyk needs replacing then it does mean he warrants a squad place but only to replace Struiyk not Rodon.
Does anyone remember Robert Runcie (one-time Archbishop of Canterbury)? Bear with (it is Sunday after all) …
So, Dr Runcie once espoused a stunning piece of wisdom (imho) by saying that he was cursed with the ability to see all sides of an argument π.
Ennyhooo … looking at the above points, good ones all … perhaps the point of agreement on Coops is that:
(1) He shouldn’t play every game now (DF even infers this).
(2) He nonetheless deserves a place in the squad.
(3) He should, ideally, only play when Struijk is injured.
(4) Cresswell should be replacement when Rodon’s injured.
My Goodness, I feel my calling … πππ·
My thoughts are this.
Paid a tenner for the game then forgot to check the kick off time reading the 13.00hrs 3pm was just settling in for the pre match Emma/Becks bit to find they were playing the first minute of extra time. Feck.
Game I might have enjoyed live for once.

I read here and elsewhere that Cooper looked really rusty when he came on due to lack of minutes, Beren Cross said he was fortunate not to give away a penalty (I cannot comment as yet).
At least he is getting minutes, Cresswell, Gelhardt and Klaesson are not getting any competitive minutes at all. Obvious argument for loans come January.
