I don't think the Worlds Footballing authorities are to bothered about where football may or may not have been born!..
Its said someone from England got the idea from the Chinese when he saw kids kicking whatever about in the streets of China!..
But the Footballing authorities are like all modern day sport's and'll go wherever the money is!..
You only have to look at how many footballing competitions there are these days, and you can bet someone somewhere is thinking a new one up that'll be played where the money is!..
Saudi Arabia by western standards have extremely questionable human rights records, yes but as a nation they are football mad, so is it for the people or the regime that you award World Cups. Very few Asian countries have the infrastructure to host a World Cup, Japan and South Korea have hosted recently, China does but would the OP look on a bid from them any more favourably, India, Turkey and Pakistan, with Russia and Israel you start to run into problems.
The World Cup becomes a exclusive club that only a few countries are allowed to host.
I think FIFA and it's richer member nations are rich enough, they should find a way to enable small countries to be subsidised to host.
Imagine World Cup 2038 South Pacific Islands
I know I drifted off there but I started with a theme of the Saudi World Cup being for the Saudi people and not for the regime and went to a world of the world cup being truly a thing for people and not corporate big business and about making money and lining people's pockets, Sorry, but would it be lovely.
Fvck sake I’m against the Saudi world cup but comparing it with naaaaaazi Germany is pure idiocy

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.
The World Cup should not require new stadia to be built, it should be done using existing infrastructure so it should be going to countries that can host it.

The regime is not democratic they do not really care what the people want. It is the point I was making about the FA. You were being panglossian. I think people are shocked by my explaining what the FA did. er

Agree totally they should play matches like they do qualifying games in the stadia that are available be that seating 100,000 in Wembley or 200 in Nauru don't you think that would be wonderful?
I do, I'm an old hippy.
Seriously though if a group of countries in the south pacific had no stadia and could build four/five/six stadia capable of hosting the world cup and could evidence that they could sustain them in the future wouldn't you welcome a bid or would you prefer a bid from the same old countries?
You might argue, well Nauru would never qualify and would get beaten very easily in their group, how did Qatar do?

Do you think many regimes care much about what the people want? Boris wanted us old people to die I hear. Is 61 old, I don't know.
Youbasl about fifa but then start talking about what the FA gave done.
These are two different organisations.
I just put FIFA through the chat AI and it came up with:
F: Furtive - Concealing their true intentions behind a facade of sportsmanship.
I: Insatiable - Having an unquenchable thirst for wealth and power.
F: Fraudulent - Engaging in dishonest practices to maintain their influence.
A: Avaricious - Showing extreme greed for money, resources, and control.
Shoe seems to fit?
The next Eurovision song contest will be played in the winners Country, maybe they could do it that way, I'm sure the smaller Countries have some better singers than the bigger richer Countries!..
That'd mean the smaller Countries would have to have the right Stadiums so will need a lot of backing from FIFA!..
