Not necessarily, perhaps with Kane the dynamic would t have worked and you’d actually be worse

No offence to spurs but perhaps they were holding him back and had he joined City he’d be getting 40-50 goals a season

I fail to see how we could be worse by Richarlison being out of the team and Kane in instead and he, Son, and Maddison all feeding off each other.

would have pushed Son wide where he wasn't scoring, would have had someone much worse at pressing, would have had a striker who wasn't occupying the CBs and pushing the defense deeper and was instead always dropping deep to get the ball
Ultimately you're always gonna be better off in the long run having the best striker in the world, but tbh I imagine we would have had more teething issues if he stayed and probably wouldn't be top right now.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Even Guirassy is getting those numbers (14 in 8) and he plays for a far lesser team. Haaland got just shy of a goal a game for Dortmund, again a lesser team than Bayern, over a longer period and as a teen rather than as a seasoned pro like Kane. Lewa scored 41 in 29 league games one year for Bayern.
So I think we can say the Bundesliga is easy to score in... especially if you play for Bayern (38 goals in 10 games this season...)

Didn't Son score his over 20 goals while being played wide and Kane there? These guys would interchange and find themselves all getting in positions to score or positions to create.
I disagree about not being top. The impact of the new signings and Ange coming in has really given us this momentum. That wouldn't change with Kane being there. What would change in my opinion is Kane picking up the goals that we've often struggled to get at times this season.

Kane has already overtaken this Guirassy. Maybe this Guirassy keeps on scoring, or maybe he's just a guy who has had a bit of a purple patch that will die down, like Rashford. But pretty obvious I would think now that Kane gets the GB and by a big tally, unless he suffers a serious injury.

As someone said earlier with Maddison and Son he would be more lethal, and more in the box as opposed to dropping deep because he could trust Maddison to find him.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't want to say we'd win every game but I reckon we'd be top and maybe still in the cup. We might even have lost a game but maybe have more points than we currently do? I mean I remember in the Brentford game Richarlison missing a good chance. One example already where I think we'd have won by having Kane there.
The thing with Kane is, he's become a better player since the peak Poch days but it coincided with us getting gradually worse with worse players around him. All until this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
As someone said earlier with Maddison and Son he would be more lethal, and more in the box as opposed to dropping deep because he could trust Maddison to find him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is true. Our midfield is a lot stronger than it was. We now have the tempo and creativity in it that we lost when Dembele and Eriksen left or were on the decline. Bissouma and Maddison are now occupying those roles, all with a manager actively encouraging us to high press and get forward more, which we weren't with previous managers. Kane would be loving it this season and not feeling the need to drop deep as much and help in that department.

No offence to spurs but perhaps they were holding him back and had he joined City he’d be getting 40-50 goals a season

would have pushed Son wide where he wasn't scoring, would have had someone much worse at pressing, would have had a striker who wasn't occupying the CBs and pushing the defense deeper and was instead always dropping deep to get the ball

I think Kane will get 50 goals this season if he stays fit. My point remains though - had he joined City he’d be crushing it imo even more than Haaland who remains a bit disappointing for City in many ways

Not necessarily, perhaps with Kane the dynamic would t have worked and you’d actually be worse
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I fail to see how we could be worse by Richarlison being out of the team and Kane in instead and he, Son, and Maddison all feeding off each other.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
would have pushed Son wide where he wasn't scoring, would have had someone much worse at pressing, would have had a striker who wasn't occupying the CBs and pushing the defense deeper and was instead always dropping deep to get the ball
Ultimately you're always gonna be better off in the long run having the best striker in the world, but tbh I imagine we would have had more teething issues if he stayed and probably wouldn't be top right now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Didn't Son score his over 20 goals while being played wide and Kane there? These guys would interchange and find themselves all getting in positions to score or positions to create.
I disagree about not being top. The impact of the new signings and Ange coming in has really given us this momentum. That wouldn't change with Kane being there. What would change in my opinion is Kane picking up the goals that we've often struggled to get at times this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ange has said multiple times that our pressing has been the best part of our game this season, adding Kane would of course diminish that.
I'm not saying we definitely would be worse off right now but the reality is we just don't know. perhaps the good vibes and momentum would have been hindered by everyone wondering if Kane was going to be leaving on a free at the end of the season and asking Ange about it every week
my point is merely that it's not as simple as "Kane is better than richarlison so we would be better" like you initially made out
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There's more to it than that and I wasn't suggesting there wouldn't be, but I did say it wouldn't be worse. I don't know how it couldn't be.
Kane would be willing to do what is required to help the team, he's that sort of player. Then there's the extra goals we'd get. Already we quite strongly rely on Son and Maddison for goal contributions as it is. Not to mention more of a target man for set pieces or crosses into the box...didn't he get the most headers in a season last season?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think he did. We have scored one headed goal this season(Romero) and not even had a pen either. I think we still would be top.
Son has subbed off every game. Harry would have played every minute.
