Is there anyone in the game apart from some clowns in UEFA who actually like VAR.

Mental. Ball has bounced up right in front of Maguire, he turns, players stretches his leg up and kicks it right into his hand from no more than a foot away. Where’s Maguire’s hands supposed to be there? What’s he supposed to do?

The red card was very, very harsh as well. It wasn’t dangerous play. That’s how you shield a ball in those situations. It was just really unlucky and we’ve seen that sort of thing again and again. A yellow would have been harsh enough.

The handball against Maguire was purely bad luck. His hands weren’t in an unnatural position.

He wont do it though. He'll probably sub Garnacho. Wait a bit before subbing Eriksen. He may actually need players that can defend out wide like Pellestri or Antony as crazy as it sounds to win that miffed battle. But he wont. He may bring a defender in even just to justify keeping Eriksen and Bruno, the two players who should be coming off
