Last time we lost 9 from our first 17 games we got relegated, although most of those games were league games and we weren't in the European cup.
Not great is it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Short termism or long term stability? That is what we must decide.
The same fans who are calling for Eth's head will no doubt will be calling for someone else's head 18 months on!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Keeping the wrong guy isn't a good plan just to avoid sacking another though.
I'm not saying he's definitely the wrong guy but I honestly can't say with any certainty that he's the right one either. His transfer decisions alone are sackable offences. Antony n Mount for £140m? Lunacy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Who is responsible for hiring the "wrong guy"? Who is responsible for putting a squad together that will not serve us well over the long term? This is not Eth's doing, he is a small part of the problem. A squad can't be overhauled in 18 months, it can't be overhauled at all if we are constantly chopping and changing managers. Impatient fans do not help, they exacerbate the issue unfortunately.
If we sack Eth, we will be back to square again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You keep saying this like he's a brilliant manager and doing nothing wrong. It's mental.
Glazers will always be the biggest issue in my eyes. That's a given.
I don't think ETH is the right guy though. His transfers, his team selections, his subs... basically everything can be questioned.
The real issue is WHO next? That could be his saving grace. Going nowhere with this guy though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Do you suffer from amnesia? Did last season not take place? Are you that fickle mate?!
You know perfectly well he is not the main issue.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Last season? Did you say that the season Ole got the boot? Bet you didn't.
The one where Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs were a shambles? 2 of them have improved this year and look where they are now.
We didn't beat a single top half team away last season, we lost by 7 at Liverpool and 6 at City. Sevilla did us like a kipper too.
I don't think you actually watched the same season as I did. The easiest route to a League cup win in history has warped your brain.

It was a massive papering over the cracks job. Our goals for column and GD from last season says it all.
Rashford got him out of jail nearly every week for 3-4 months. Now his form has gone too and we look clueless.
Glazers are the big problem. Always have been. This manager ain't the answer though.
Antony and Mount are just baffling decisions of his too. £140m could have made so much of a difference to us if spent better.

One of the lowest goal difference in history, some of the largest defeats we've experienced, one of the lower totals to make the top 4 in a while, our goal tally too. The defence was weak then too despite playing his most defensive style yet.
There was always a sinking feeling that it was one of the luckiest seasons yet. It was. Now we lost some of our luck (not enough to not be beating the lowest teams handily). But this was meant to be his first season with his system and players he chose mostly in part to make his system work. Guess the players that really failed the system? The players he thought will work in it. The ones he decided were part of the success and the ones he signed as continuation of it. It's so bad that if he continues like this, anyone talking about how to sell the highest 7-10 top paid Players on this team will not be completely insane. No team can say that. And the reason is one manager. No one else can really be blamed.
At the end, the only reason to keep him is if you have seen visible improvements from.game to game (I'm not even saying season to season). We have watched good managers many times. The path to improvement is almost always visible, certainly more so after a year. Arsenal, City, Aston villa, liverpool, facking West ham all had visible improvements from last season. That is the normal pattern for growth. Why should ours be special.

And it's Eth's fault that most of the players who have been at the club longer are throwing yet another manager under the bus?!
Eth's signings have been very good to "need time". A few have disappointed. 18 months is simply not enough to overhaul a football club that has known nothing but failure for 10 years!
Money alone does not equal success, if you think it does then you are clueless. You needs more than a coach, it needs leadership from the very top, it needs a visionary DoF, etc, etc.
The squad is so imbalanced it just needs one or two injuries, poor form to knock it off track. We are still two CBs, two FBs, a CM, two wide players short of being able to play to way we want to play.
Tonight's result was poor but the footy for large parts from an attacking sense was superb. How the feck can anyone link individual errors, which has plagued our club for too long, to the manager? You simply can't. And most of the errors are made by players bought by different managers. We have far too many who are mentally weak with zero accountability because fickle fans don't call for their demotion but change of manager instead!

Because we don't create enough and concede too many. When we play with the handbrakes off we actually create and score but it does not require much for the wheels to come completely off. Why? Mentally weak players!

We are a total and utter joke in all areas. You keep believing in him if you want to. He's out of his depth.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Two cup finals and a finish in the lge to qualify for a champions league place! That was Erik Ten Hag's season!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
10 cup draws. All at home. All against teams lower in the league table or even in a different division.
It really wasn't as impressive as it first appears. As I said a massive papering over the cracks job and it's been exposed badly this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
😂
Do the work for opposition fans, why not? You are baying for Eth's blood!
Embarrassing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a bit misleading too when literally every team we could have drawn bar two were lower in the table than we were!

You don't believe the BS you're posting. It's just pride making you say these things. Deep down I think you have your doubts too and just won't say it.
We can't keep sacking managers? Let's keep one that keeps losing. Take everyone by surprise.
He won't be our manager next season. Not even sure he makes it to January.
If we know the squad is full of weaklings, how does a change of manager overhaul it in 18 months? Hypothetically speaking, post Eth.
That entire defence and midfield needs serious reinforcements, that's probably 4 or 5 windows.
We need to weather the storm, get a serious DoF in and give Eth a chance to redeem himself and finish what he has started. Otherwise we simply do not have a leg to stand on, the nonsensical whining will make little sense because fickle fans are as much to blame for their impatience.
What exactly is our purpose if we are not a serious football club? The way we are handling things we'll be in the Championship at some point.

I hope Eth stays, we get knocked out of every cup and end up near the bottom of the league.
What else will fix this mess other than united being down in the pits for a year or two or maybe three years.
Nobody is fixing this mess of a club for a long time now. A decade of utter failure has caught up on us.
Doesn't mean the manager is blameless. He's made more than enough errors of his own. £140m on Antony n Mount is inexcusable, especially when he knew the transfer business was the biggest issue we had when he arrived. He's made it even worse now.
If he starts next season as our manager I will eat my hat.

You don't have a hat, you'll simply deny you were Eth-out and were always a Eth fan! 😂
Too many players have had little time to bed in, far too many in the squad are not good enough, even Ole said this. It's easier to give up, get a manager sacked and start again, that is the cycle they have become accustomed to.
We are a mess, no denying but we need to back some one long enough to overhaul a failing squad otherwise why give a season? Hire and fire constantly. We'll be in the Championship soon enough.
I wanted ETH here you plank. He was my first choice.

He was my only choice and what we are experiencing now is what I expected last season. Nothing has changed, I expected major bumps along the way, these are the anticipated albeit delayed bumps!

Fairweather fan my backside. I still support them and want them to win. I have been to over 750 Utd games across 34 years.
I just don't rate this manager anymore. He's let me down as I thought he was better than this. The signings have been awful and the football we play isn't good enough.
Stop being so positive all the time. Everyone can see it's fake. Deep down you have the same concerns too and you know it. Nobody is buying the BS.
What is good about Ten Hag?
The only argument for keeping him seems to be, we've sacked enough managers now.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The one or two blips aside it was a success
----------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the lowest goal difference in history, some of the largest defeats we've experienced, one of the lower totals to make the top 4 in a while, our goal tally too.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
And it's Eth's fault that most of the players who have been at the club longer are throwing yet another manager under the bus?!

You will be on the ETH out wagon soon enough.
8th in the PL.
Minus GD
Our of league cup 3-0 at home.
Bottom of our CL group
9 defeats in 17 games
Transfers mostly embarrassing
Falling out with players

We are a total and utter joke in all areas. You keep believing in him if you want to. He's out of his depth.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Two cup finals and a finish in the lge to qualify for a champions league place! That was Erik Ten Hag's season!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
10 cup draws. All at home. All against teams lower in the league table or even in a different division.
It really wasn't as impressive as it first appears. As I said a massive papering over the cracks job and it's been exposed badly this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
😂
Do the work for opposition fans, why not? You are baying for Eth's blood!
Embarrassing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You will be on the ETH out wagon soon enough.
8th in the PL.
Minus GD
Our of league cup 3-0 at home.
Bottom of our CL group
9 defeats in 17 games
Transfers mostly embarrassing
Falling out with players
You don't believe the BS you're posting. It's just pride making you say these things. Deep down I think you have your doubts too and just won't say it.
We can't keep sacking managers? Let's keep one that keeps losing. Take everyone by surprise.
He won't be our manager next season. Not even sure he makes it to January.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not in the manner you are doing it, no chance, not my style.

Happy to admit I was wrong. You keep ignoring what's staring you in the face. I will be waiting to tell you I told you so.
Go down with the ship if you like. Fine by me.

The epitome of a fairweather fan. An embarrassment.

It's not fake, it's genuine. I keep having to repeat the same point, I don't want to see a change for the sake of change. I am concerned about the long term implications. And how am I being positive all the time ? 😂 I am objective.
