We are heading out of competition we had no chance of winning lads.

I'm far more angry with the PL form and that embarrassing Carabao Cup showing than the CL.

Even if we somehow got through we'd be well beaten in the last 16 against anyone pretty much anyway.

Shambles this club. On and off if. Needs an exorcism.

Certain players throwing the manager under the bus?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He keeps playing them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No choice mate
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There is always a choice. That's what he refuses to understand. He does not have to start Eriksen in a game like this. You dont have to keep him after the red (suicidal). You font sub the one striker who was our only outlet all game. You dont keep Dalot after he showed himself so weak knowing you gave an option .
----------------------------------------------------------------------

We actually played well until Marcus was red carded. We were in complete control. Eriksen was very good for most parts. Amrabat for all his quality is far too casual, probably why he doesn't start.

Too many mentally weak players who crack at the slightest sign of pressure.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We were not playing well. Their midfield was still dominating. They were putting pressure on our defense. Get it right we had the best counter attacking players there that's all. When they made one mistake we could punish them. Thank God for Hojlund and Garnacho. But I need to be clear about this. If we were 11, they would have gotten a draw when they calmed down and got their confidence. The defence wont stole this with 11.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Exaggeration to suggest their midfield was dominating, it simply wasn't when we had 11 on the field. They were all subdued more like!

We simply fell apart when reduced to 10.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
If the midfield was that good, a red card should not make us fall apart so easily. We are not the first team to get a red card. It should not lead to this type of collapse. Liverpool won a game with it for bomber a half. Us falling apart so clumsily is on Ten Ten Hag. Its not something that "just happened "

Last time we lost 9 from our first 17 games we got relegated, although most of those games were league games and we weren't in the European cup.

Not great is it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Short termism or long term stability? That is what we must decide.

The same fans who are calling for Eth's head will no doubt will be calling for someone else's head 18 months on!
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Keeping the wrong guy isn't a good plan just to avoid sacking another though.

I'm not saying he's definitely the wrong guy but I honestly can't say with any certainty that he's the right one either. His transfer decisions alone are sackable offences. Antony n Mount for £140m? Lunacy.

Personally think ETH has a plan for players he wanted and vow he wanted to play

I think he was told get .oney to spend money. Hence that tour instead of preseason.

Maguire and Scott not being sold meant he had to make do.

I think there is so much happening with the club, add in the whole greenwood and Antony sagas and injuries and that is why I'm suspicious about getting rid of the manager.

A stretch? Maybe .

Maybe I'm just sick of the manager circus

His signings were terrible, his choices remain terrible. His tactics are ridiculous. His teams have his ridiculous sense of calmness he definitely has a huge hand to were we are. He should not be managing us. Its ridiculous
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, maybe it should be Ole, Jose, or LvG? We've had so many different type of managers, spent in excess of 1bn and look where we are!

Chopping and changing managers has not worked, it's made the squad worse with each change.

It actually upsets me more in a way as we'll no doubt end up in the Thursday night cup, which we also have no chance of winning. But it means all our weekend games will be on Sundays, which limits the opportunities to at least drink and numb the pain 🤣

Who is responsible for hiring the "wrong guy"? Who is responsible for putting a squad together that will not serve us well over the long term? This is not Eth's doing, he is a small part of the problem. A squad can't be overhauled in 18 months, it can't be overhauled at all if we are constantly chopping and changing managers. Impatient fans do not help, they exacerbate the issue unfortunately.

If we sack Eth, we will be back to square again.

Choosing the wrong manager to stand with is the worst thing to do. It compound his flaws to the players we have. We are better off with a no nonsense manager ready to play the best 11 he sees not thinking of someone's record. Do you know how bad it wi be for him to solidify his flaws? It will take a lot more longer to sort them out.

He was the flavour of the month at the time, who says he was the wrong one? He was the best choice! We are making the wrong type of signings because we have zero long term vision, we have no DoF. We seem to only attract players with a desire an easy life, players who want one last pay out. Why aren't we identifying hungry youngsters with the right winning mentality? Even our academy is failing us, BREXIT is being cited as a reason!

Last season? Did you say that the season Ole got the boot? Bet you didn't.

The one where Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs were a shambles? 2 of them have improved this year and look where they are now.

We didn't beat a single top half team away last season, we lost by 7 at Liverpool and 6 at City. Sevilla did us like a kipper too.

I don't think you actually watched the same season as I did. The easiest route to a League cup win in history has warped your brain.

We are a total and utter joke in all areas. You keep believing in him if you want to. He's out of his depth.

Weak defence, major injuries, player form on a downward trajectory. Unique issues involving Greenwood and Antony, etc. And that's also ignoring the off field take over issues. Given the season we enjoyed last season, he deserves a chance to rectify whatever we are currently going through. So, no we are not on square 1 but we risk it all by sacking him with even more uncertainty introduced with a new manager, new "style" and even more alteration to a squad resembling Frankenstein's monster!
