All depends if SC can take the shackles off away from home.
Unfortunately is default away from home, is to sit back and try not to get beat, its really hard for a Leopard to change its spots.
Having said that, this Sunday is a really good opportunity to go out high tempo, and literally tire the Hammers out from the first minute, they are bound to feel the effects of having played late on Thursday, even though they did sneak a 1-0 win, against EM’s other team.
Given a full squad to pick from hopefully Cooper will deceive to ‘give it a go’ and goal all out for the win, remember what happened when we tried sitting back their last season, didn’t end well with a 4-0 capitulation.
Having beaten Villa last week, the pressure is not quite as intense as if we hadn’t got the three points, a draw would be acceptable, however, we may not get many better chances to win at the Hammers home ground.
Yet another fixture that is very difficult to predict, and I’m going to my ‘default’ prediction of 1-1.

Perhaps Cooper will keep it tight first half and counter attack more in the second?

Dave, I think we will sit back today and to be honest I’ll be ok with that.
Probably an unchanged team barring injuries, although he might consider adding Boly to his back line to counter their threat from set pieces.
Hopefully we will have a stronger bench today maybe with a striker sitting there. West Ham might not match our fitness and energy having had a tough Europe tie. Paqueta took a knock in the week so perhaps he will miss out.

Totally agree with your comments, particularly about the Hammers tiring late on.
IMO if we are still level at 70 mins we can win this, i was amazed over the weekend how much teams that had played later, even Monday, and had a few knocks struggled late on.

Same team👍
Wood and Origi on the bench👍

Interesting that there is only one player starting today that played in the corresponding fixture last season.

I still think if we are this game after 70 mins we can win it.
We obviously need to cut out the basic errors, and get forward a little quicker.
Both teams are a bit conservative in their football, but when they do break quickly, they are both dangerous.
I’d still also settle for a 1-1.

Poor start but got into the game after that. Not sure Taiwo and Dominguez on their A game. Can see Wood and Danilo on for last twenty.
Travelling fans putting 40000 east Enders to shame.

Be braver second half and put pressure on Coufal.

Kudus could have had a yellow. Swung his arm into Elanga’s face.

I wish MGW would stop the silly little back flicks, they just don’t work

Elanga scores a wonderful goal, and gets booked, hope he doesn’t regret it. Great work from Danilo and Aina

I wonder how Elanga feels now, our lead last about a minute, done by the simplest move you can ever make. Why can’t we defend set plays, it was far too simple.

Got carried away after scoring. They didn’t switch back on. Basic stuff
