The football could, and should be better. ETH has said he doesn’t have the players to play how he really wants to, I agree with him. Our defenders can’t handle the press, we don’t have midfielders capable of carrying the ball.
His recruitment has been very hit and miss though.

That's very disingenuous with Arsenal. They have a GD of plus 16 after 12 games. We have minus 3. We are miles behind them.
We're the only team in the top half with a minus GD actually which is very worrying.

I don't disagree
I am refusing to take an overly reactionary approach because by doing so I will be guilty of joining the same clamour that will result in Utd's 6th manager in 10 years. That does not need to sink in because you know it too. This is unsustainable for a club in need of stability, you do not get stability by constantly chopping and changing.
18 months for a manager, at a mess of club is too short a time to get anything done. When you are here with a long term view without a DoF you will fix less and fire fight more. And that is why I will only expect high standards when we have a structure in place, starting with whatever Jim has in place.

Have higher standards. We are scraping 1 goal wins against fodder. Being comfortably beaten by decent sides.
When was the last league game we won by more than a goal? May?

Arsenal have been scraping wins all season.
Spurs scraped a win against Luton, Liverpool drew.
The football could, and should be better. ETH has said he doesn’t have the players to play how he really wants to, I agree with him. Our defenders can’t handle the press, we don’t have midfielders capable of carrying the ball.
His recruitment has been very hit and miss though.

That's very disingenuous with Arsenal. They have a GD of plus 16 after 12 games. We have minus 3. We are miles behind them.
We're the only team in the top half with a minus GD actually which is very worrying.
We have to do better than this.

I don't disagree
I am refusing to take an overly reactionary approach because by doing so I will be guilty of joining the same clamour that will result in Utd's 6th manager in 10 years. That does not need to sink in because you know it too. This is unsustainable for a club in need of stability, you do not get stability by constantly chopping and changing.
18 months for a manager, at a mess of club is too short a time to get anything done. When you are here with a long term view without a DoF you will fix less and fire fight more. And that is why I will only expect high standards when we have a structure in place, starting with whatever Jim has in place.
