Both sides have done a 180

Suspect that this article will be like catnip for far left antisemites.

So what?

It’s not madness, just bad manners

So they didn’t attend, what’s the problem?

posted on 12/11/23

To protest against antisemitism is good, but to ignore the killing of 11000 Palestinians, half of them are children, is pure hypocrisy.

Tbf the far left has always been anti semitic. There’s been shocking levels of anti semitism since the 7 October.

Tbf so are the far right, if you cast your mind back to the events of 1936 - 1945

Yes, I’m aware of that.

What I meant was, in the context of the article given it was about the far left in France. I think that was quite obvious.

Being anti Israel actions isn’t antisemitic.

No, but defacing Jewish shops, chanting ‘from the river to the sea’ or going around looking for Jews is.

Obviously we all want the violence to stop. But in all the condemnation of Israel, the role of Hamas is getting very little mention. Hamas carried out the initial attack in the full knowledge of how Israel would react. They’re the ones that have consigned the very people they are supposed to be protecting to this slaughter.

JA being what it is, I guess I best point out that this isn’t a defence of Israel, but a condemnation of a terrorist group.

Besides, these protests are only taking place in such numbers because it’s Israel. No one really cares about the Yazidi genocide, the Uyghurs or the victims of the Syrian civil war.

There’s been so little condemnation of them even after they stated they wanted to repeat the attacks of October 7th and essentially wipe Israel from the map.

The Israeli hostages have largely been forgotten as well. No one who is calling for a ceasefire is calling for their release.

Where has the condemnation of them been over the last week since they made their comments about wanting to repeat the October 7th attacks? There hasn’t been any obvious or open condemnation from those marching for Palestine against Hamas, at least none that I can see from any footage. There was even a guy who turned up to a protest with a sign that read ‘Hamas are terrorists’ and he was met with open hostility.

Oh, so you want people to parrot the government and condemn Hamas morning and evening to deflect attention away from Israel's war crimes and genocide?

posted on 12/11/23

What kind of weird response is that

I want people to be consistent in their condemnation.

Well the government haven't been consistent in theirs, so the people are having make up for their lack of condemnation for Israel. But the people are more consistent, many condemning both sides.

Already condemned them for any targeting of civilians.

But they're not the underlying problem — they're a symptom, not the cause.
