We know what should happen, but this is the same organisation that allowed them into the league in the first place so remains to be seen what will actually happen.

Holidays, yachts, private jets and parcels of cash, yep the FA and PL are just putting the finishing touches to the City punishment

Everton can't afford to pay fines like unlimited funds City owners can

On the op, it’s the complexity of the charges that’s why it’s taking so long. Everton (and Chelsea’s) will be quicker to sort.

Aside from it being the PL rather than the FA, agree with the sentiment of if found guilty across the board, it will be a very significant penalty. That’s always been the case though.

I’m asking this in the least trolling way possible but if City are found guilty and there is a big enough penalty that even titles are stripped etc how will you view the last few years in posterity?

Will you just be happy you got to go on the ride you did?

If you told City 10yrs ago that they would win multiple premier leagues, the champions league, domestic cups, have one of if not the best academy's and have a seat at the top table of European football, at the cost of relegation for a season, they would have bitten your hand off.

Being relegated for a season is worth it. They have everything infrastructurally set up and the pain would be absorbable.

Cheating pays well

They might be sued by sides who finished fifth in the league every time they made the CL. There could be lawsuits in the hundreds of millions.

Relegating City will only give them another championship they'll be straight back up. Pep will probably walk though

It would be a mixed bag but honestly pretty much. It’s just a pastime, albeit one people are more emotionally invested in than others. Those moments and feelings at the time have already happened and the first title aside, it’s not really the winning of the trophies that is the enjoyable thing, it’s the watching of the football capable of winning it. Whether a trophy room is full or what a Wikipedia list of honours says, I’m kind of meh.

That and even if we get relegated to the bottom of the whole league, that’ll be an experience to see what happens next!

On the flip side, I’d be incredibly angry with the owners about it as a lot of the accusations either really weren’t needed or benefitted others (as in other companies) more than us if true. If we’re found guilty, the punishment will be deserved.

The punishment would be deserved anyway and regardless. Everybody knows City are cheats. The question is whether they will have the evidence to find City guilty and if so whether they'll do anything significant about it.

posted on 19/11/23

They shouldn't get any punishment. They are innocent of all charges.

The fact they fail to cooperate with any investigation they are involved in is highly coincidental.

Because of the behaviour of those genuine fans I wouldn't feel sorry for the tbh. Those who've embraced the cheating and defended it, and also defended their owners and willingly been sportswashed. I wouldn't feel sorry for those.

Trust me, as a city fan we move had to deal with some very bad owners over my time of supporting them! We as fans aren’t running the club so just got to take what comes. If we were dropped several divisions for example, what an experience that’s going to be!

Of course. You being found not guilty is like Al Capone being found not guilty.

As in you'll have beat the system due to lack of sufficient evidence, but every man and his dog knows City are cheats.

One court City will never be found not guilty in is the court of public opinion.
