Assume you mean he isnt a number 9 because he doesn't press LIW? Summerville can do the pressing. Hes not really a 10 to me either.

He's one of those players who really makes us tick, isn't he?
This oculd be a tricky one for us, since we have had so many players away on international duty. Personally, I would prefer to see Gray and Ampadu as the double pivot, with Kamara as the creative midfielder. That would mean Somerville, Pirou and James up top. Shacks at right back, Byram on the left (hopefully fit) and Rodon and Coops in the cockpit, we should be fine with that.
As for Bamford, I will leave others to comment on that, but Jayden Anthony has to be a better option, surely?

You want to replace Piroe, With kamara, who scored 6 goal all his life, to be an attacking midfielder, while playing Piroe in a position where it doesnt suit him. Kamara been playing brilliant lately, in HIS position

Interesting the debate about who is/isn't a no 9.

Call me old fashioned but I thought a no 9 should be

Big, strong, quick and able to hold up high balls played into them and start attacks off from them.
He should be good in the air.
He should be able to score goals with both feet and head.
He should be robust ie. stand up to the attentions of ahem "strong" central defenders.

Whenever this topic is raised there are always a cry that Bamford is our only natural no 9
On the criteria above I do not believe he ticks many of the boxes sad to say.

I along with quite a few others I would guess, thought that we signed Piroe for this role (natural goal scorer, knows where to be in the box etc). Surely worth giving him a try up top?

It's difficult to work out what exactly Piroe's role is because 90% he offers absolutely nothing. I am struggling to like the guy I have to admit.
Bamford has lots of positives in my book but I don't see a Bremner type side before self type player in Piroe.

Bamford would probably have started before now if he had let someone else take the penalty v stoke.

I don't see Piroe as a 10 personally. I believe Farke said that he prefers playing Rutter at 9 because of his pressing

I wouldn't put Piroe up top either, doesn't seem his position at all though I'm not saying he should NEVER play there you never know - but right now, I wouldn't want to disturb things too much anyway.

So by process of illimitation it has to be Bamford.

Agree, was just sarcastically putting it out there. I think I’d bring in Gnonto, push Summerville up front and keep Lord Badform on the bench.

I don't personally want to see Paddy Bamford in a Leeds shirt again.

However, Rutter is a bladdy handful, puts himself about, has a good physical aspect to his game. I don't think we've got any other strikers bar Bamford who could do that physical thing.There's no way Piroe can do that job so I reckon it'll be Bamford, Summerfield and James and Piroe ghosting in and around, as he does.

If Liam's playing, let's hope he pulls rank if it comes down to penalties - and gives the ball to Piroe.
