He has a great understanding with Rutter which has been instrumental in our rise up the table.

Based on what, show me the evidence.

I see a player who never really gets fully involved in games, is mostly on the periphery and has some absolute shockers.

He's a championship striker who we will need to replace should we get promoted.

He only looks good in comparison to a shockingly out of form Bamford.

another 'must win' in November?

its been said in the comments above but to keep piling the pressure on every game is ludicrous.

we're in cracking form, picking points every game, moving well and we've a strong squad.

thats all we need to do, keep going and picking up points, the team above have and will drop further points.

No international breaks now until March I believe, so its arguably the most important part of the season in the championship. A long stint with no break, including a transfer window.

"He's a championship striker who we will need to replace should we get promoted."

I think any team that go up will look at all their team and look at improving!..

If we find our way back than it'll be up to the 49ers to play the right cards, but our problem will be on what happens with players that if we go up will be looking at returning!..

No doubt that's a problem that's going to take a bit away from what the 49ers might be looking at spending!..

Footballers out on loan are like your ex's. Once they see you are doing better without them, they come knocking at the door. Once dumped, twice shy, I say. Get rid once and for all.

posted on 27/11/23

Problem with getting rid is who's going to pay the asking price, at the moment not to many are doing as well as we'd like, so, there is a bit off money to lose!..

The 49ers'll have a plan, and hopefully they get rid, but they'll have to see something coming back at the same time as giving, and that could cost us a player or two!..

Looking forward to seeing Spence getting back but the reality is I don't know much about him besides some on here quite rate him.

Now I am no expert when it comes to footballers, but when the 49'ers bought the club, did they factor in depreciation of assets, namely our players, once we were relegated? And did the price they paid reflect the fact that some of those assets may now be worthless? If this is the case, the prerogative to get money back may not be as compelling as the need to get the fu©kers out of Elland Road on the next bus to the airport.

I'm also no expert when it comes to running anything, but at the same time where lots of people here say the 49ers had something to do with the deals that crapped us up, I don't think they could do anything about them!..

They took the club on, and players started leaving with the weirdest deals anybody here has ever seen, I think the 49ers have a plan to see things through, but at this moment they have no idea as to how much they are going to lose!..

Maybe they new about these deals but decided they wanted the club so took it on, they saved a bit of money because we went down and they might be thinking its worth a shot!..

Think it’s highly likely 49ners wanted these clauses.

Backfired on them

Sure you are reading like I am that Real Betis are going to stump up £10m for Roca, pretty much what we paid for him I think.

Hope this works out, money in January for Farke to spend if it wasn't there before.

Isn't the deal that if we get promoted that the loanees come back with their tails between their legs, including Harrison, Sinistere, Wober et al begging the Elland Road faithful to forgive and forget.
Harrison is different to the others because he has put the hard yards in but is he Leeds, I doubt it. Anthony looks more so that Sinistere.
Of the loanees who will not come back but who look most improved and I would welcome back in a heartbeat is LLorente, he seems to have come on leaps and bounds at Roma but there's an obligation to buy there.

than Sinistere

Not sure Llorente is suited to the prem, or was it our set up maybe? Just seemed very lightweight.

posted on 28/11/23

Don't see any point in taking any back into the first team other than Harrison and sinisterra. We're kind of top heavy but our defenders we lost are nothing to write home about. Where is woper or whatever his name is?

posted on 28/11/23

Wober is, I think, doing OK at mid-table Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach (stupid name for a football team, hardly rolls off the tongue).
The one we are most likely to get stuck with is Aaronson who is struggling to get into a team that look like the are likely to be relegated.
Kristienson has an impact but mostly from the bench, albeit in a well placed Roma side.

Christ, I hope we don't get lumbered with Aaronson again - that bloke was such a lightweight. How is he making a living at top-flight football?

My view on it is that our best starting 11 all fit and ready to go beats last years starting 11 if the situation is the same for them.

So why bring in lesser players.

Get rid of all of them

Explain why you think that??
Previous commentators suggested Orta had to put them
clauses in to get them to sign. Not personally convinced that 49ers had that much influence on transfers in to ‘force’ the inclusion of such clauses??

I think it's clear what happend:

We came up with a dynamic manager and invested in the likes of Raphinha and Rodrigo and to a certain extent that took the division by storm.
The following season the board were complacent, spent next to nothing assuming the same formula would work, patching up a few minor areas like left back, but when that failed to bare fruit, lopped off the one thing that could turn it around, the dynamism, the creativity and the one thing that drew the likes of Raphinha to the club, Bielsa. We just about survived the drop, touch and go.
So you can see why players (or their agents) might have insisted on the "Orta" Clause to sign.
Whether or not the '49ers had anything to do with it, we can but speculate because they don't talk to us.
