Sad news. He was a good manager

1996. The first time Football broke my heart.

RIP Terry.

Yes I am sad about this news. He was very flamboyant and his teams usually played like that too even when he briefly showed up at Leeds. Never dull.

RIP El Tel. A lot of my favourite memories for England and Spurs include this guy.

He was the sort of manager who transcended eras. I think he tactical nous and personality would be as successful now as they were 30+ years ago.

80 is a decent innings, but still a very sad loss.

R.I.P Terry.

Loved watching his England teams play, possibly the last time I felt properly invested in the national team. Good chance we’d have a couple of trophies if he was managing under the same current conditions as Southgate…..

I was also known as ‘El Tel’ as a youngster playing cricket for by local team!
