OP, talk about an overreaction. Yes the squad will be added to over the next couple of windows. But no club in the country can legislate for losing 10-12 players injured or suspended over two or three weeks. Not even City.

I was well happy with what I saw yesterday, other than the finishing.

While you are right to say "no club in the country can legislate for losing 10-12 players" It is also fair to have expectations of Levy & Co improving this sqaud. There are players starting that the club were having to get rid of in the summer, they dont appear to be in in Ange's long term plans & we will be losing players in Jan to AFCON and the Asia Cup... Biss, Sarr & Sonny. Can we also stop with this idea that everything will be rosy come Jan when Madders & DVD are back. Injuries and suspensions WILL HAPPEN throughout the season !!! Look at Poor Bentacur.... No sooner than he's back after a year out, Cash cleans him out and now he's looking at more time on the sidelines. The overall quality of the squad must be improved.... End of ! Spurs will lose more games than they win (as good as they are to watch) with Davies, Dier, PEH, Skipp, Gill, Royal & GLC in the team..... Its been proved time & time again

Be thankful that in one window Vicario, Mickey and Maddison came in, and also the emergence of Bissouma and Sarr under Ange. There will be plenty more of that to come.

It’s utter negligence that we have 3 senior CB’s at the club and only 2 that the manager trusts - what other top half side would go into a season like that.

And exactly what depth do they have if they have say 10 players missing like Spurs? They are missing ONE player. Eight of their players have started every game this season. Take five of those starters out of their side, and see how they would get on. Villa have jo more depth than Spurs, as most teams haven't.

Players like Toby were critical to our improvement under Poch and he came in in the 2nd summer window. Son came the same year, as did Trippier.

Devonshire agree, I am really pleased with the current Spurs set up. Four players introduced this season that made a massive difference. Young players like Johnson as well. Add one or two more, even if not in January, and Spurs will be a serious threat.

I don`t see that many goalies better than Vicario, better CBs than MIckey Van, better midfielders than Maddison, Bentancur, Bissouma etc currently playing in the division. Just need to get the forwards scoring, and Spurs will be winning most games when everyone is fit again.

I think Daniel Levy knows he needs to spend in January. But you aint going to get much, so pointless just spending for the sake of it.

Buy a decent player. Yes. But just panic buy in January. No, no, no.

Saying you have 2 senior CBs is simply made up, you have others that are not good enough.

Fact is Spurs spent enormous amounts in the summer. It’s not just transfer fees, there’s agent fees, signing on fees, taxes and more. Thinking Spurs are going to go out and spend about £300m in one summer is painfully deluded and entitled. You’re not Real Madrid (who don’t spend that themselves), fvck, you’re not even Atletico.

That also means you’re down the pecking order for the best players. Seems to me that waiting for the right players is the way to go, that way you don’t end up with dross. I mean who is this other centre back you were going to get? Because they’d have cost circa £50m+ to be the right quality, I’m sure.

The problem is under the misery of ENIC, we never actually get to the point where our squad is complete, it takes so long to get players in, by the time we sort the defence the forwards need sorting, and by the time we sort the forwards the midfield needs sorting. We are constantly in transition under a clown like Levy which is why we are the laughing stock of football.
